Untitled

My December is the title of the upcoming third album by Kelly Clarkson, to be released on July 24, 2007[5]. Clarkson confirmed the name of the album in her journal on her fanclub website on February 27, 2007.[6] On May 7,2007 RCA Records issued an official press release stating that Clarkson's "My December" album will be released on July 24,2007.[7][8]

Clarkson has stated in interviews that she has written this entire album herself.[9]

Track list

All thirteen songs have been confirmed for the album.[10]

  • "Never Again" was the first single released from the album (to radio) on April 13, 2007.
  • "One Minute" which Clarkson performed at the Daytona 500 on February 18, 2007
  • "Sober" which Clarkson talks about in a video on her official fan club (fan club videos are only viewable to members).[11]
  • "Maybe" (confirmed by producer David Kahne)
  • "Yeah"
  • "Haunted" [citation needed]
  • "Be Still"[12]
  • "Hole"
  • "Kirby"
  • "Judas"
  • "Chivas"
  • "What I've Become"
  • "How I Feel"
  • "Irvine"[13]

The album's producer stated on a behind the scenes video that there were around 60 tracks written for the album and that after whittling them down, 27 were recorded and 19 will be used. In an interview with Blender Magazine, Clarkson mentioned that she had written songs for the album such as "Come Here", "Yeah", and also "Irvine". The only song left over that has not been confirmed as a track is "Come Here". Some suspect this is the last of the tracks, but others say that it is too short, considering that when Kelly performed it Live it was only 2:30. Also "Chivas" has been confirmed as a hidden track on the album, therefore creating one spare place on the album. Most fans believe that the last track will be a track called "Anymore", sung on the Addicted Tour."Dont is also rumored to be a hidden track as well.

Singles

"Never Again" is the first single by Kelly Clarkson on her website on April 4th. The track hit the airwaves on Friday, April 13, 2007, being officially debuted by Clarkson herself on Los Angeles based 102.7 KIIS-FM's radio show "On-Air with Ryan Seacrest." The video was shot in Los Angeles between April 10th-13th. The video premiered on TRL on May 1st.

Clarkson said in an interview on May 8th 2007, on the Today Show, that the song "Sober" will probably be a single.

"My December" Tour

Clarkson announced on her website that the My December Tour would start on July 11th 2007 in Portland. The tour has in 37 dates across America and Canada.[14]Mat Kearney will open for her[15] and another possible special guest may accompany her.
