Snowolf (talk botwiki u:space admin scout npw vp)

Congratulations!!!

Congrats on becoming an admin! I have been watching your Rfa for a while, though I did not want to vote, and if I did I probably would have supported you. I got late to congratulate you becuase I had been busy and just like you I like seeing new Rfas (thats how I came across yours!)..... Use the tools well!--Kushan I.A.K.J (talk) 12:33, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Weekly Episodes 37 and 38

Well, gee whiz! I don't check WP:WEEKLY for a few days and look what happens: I miss two new episodes. Nonetheless, Wikipedia Weekly Episode 37 and Episode 38 have been released!

.mp3 and .ogg versions can be found at http://wikipediaweekly.org/2007/12/10/wikipedia-weekly-37-rundown/ and http://wikipediaweekly.org/2007/12/14/episode-38-interview-wbrianna-laugher/, and, as always, you can download past episodes and leave comments at http://wikipediaweekly.com/.

Request for use of Snowbot

Hello Snowolf. No one has thus far objected to using Snowbot to tag food-related article talk pages with the {{WPFOOD}} banner. [1] Also, the editor, Warfreak (talk · contribs), who felt I was moving too fast last time has not commented about my suggestion to use a bot this time around. He's been mostly inactive, but has made edits since I left him the message. So, what do you think? Is it safe to use Snowbot for WikiProject tagging? --GentlemanGhost (talk) 02:32, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

AntiVandal Tool

Any idea why its reporting [ and < as bad words? I'd ask Lupin but you seem to be active at the moment. Master of Puppets Care to share? 20:14, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm. I saw that it still works, just... not quite. I'll go tell Lupin. I'm thinking that maybe that edit screwed up the all-powerful .js code, and it refuses to revert or something. Master of Puppets Care to share? 20:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Template:X5, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make"

i thought template:x5 was a sandbox. it even says: "You may also use the templates X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8, and X9 for experimental purposes."

sorry if im not allowed to write this here too, but it did look like i was allowed to. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.151.143.44 (talkcontribs) 23:40, 18 December 2007

The RickK Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Thank you for taking care of the Administrator intervention against vandalism report page ... my report was taken care of within minutes and Snowolf was also nice enough to take the time to give me some advice on using the report - thanks for that Ukt-zero (talk) 12:29, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You de-listed User:City warming from AIV with the statements of no final warning. If you'd look at the talk page, there was a final warning posted at 12:09, 19 December 2007 (UTC), yet the user continued to re-create the article in question at 12:40, December 19, 2007 (UTC). The talk page for this user also shows they're presistant on re-creating material which has been CSD'ed more than once. Yngvarr 12:41, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for looking into it. Hope I didn't sound harsh above, was just trying to present the case. Yngvarr 12:49, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FYI

I've upped your username block of Hazeltheturkeyfarmfaceinyourfacemunchingonyourhips (talk · contribs) to include a block on account creation. This is a user who likes to create obviously unacceptable names, such as Bonerific (talk · contribs), then claim it is a reference to his/her occupation. - auburnpilot talk 15:23, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalproof application

I see. Thanks for pointing out the number of edits. I am aware of policies and proceedures, however your talk page was elusive to me and so I did the next best thing -- sorry! Can I suggest you include clearer/visible links to it so that this may be avoided? Many thanks. Showjumpersam (talk) 13:59, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you reveritng edits by Polbot ?

You seem to have reverted several edits by Polbot ? (on Image pages) is there a reason they look OK to me? lɘɘяɘM яɘɫƨɐƮ 14:08, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My NPWatch application

Hi Snowwolf! Congratulations on becoming an admin, but in all honesty I think you have just made your first mistake. After being approved for NPWatch, the second automatic tool I have received approval for -the other being AWB-,you seem to have thought it was necessary to remove my approval because I have to little experience with CSD tagging. Can you explain that to me, as I have never tagged an article that was re-tagged or not deleted that I am aware of and have done so on enough articles to consider using NPWatch in the near future. And also, knowing WP:CSD off-by-heart I thought I was all set. I think you have made a mistake and would also like to know how you check if somebody has enough CSD experience - as these are deleted edits and do not show up on the edit count or anywhere except my own preferences pages afaiaa.
