- Rename TDI KRISS Super V to TDI KRISS Super V XSMG
The correct name was being used TDI KRISS Super V XSMG then an editor named Asams10 moved the article without any discussion to the incorrect name TDI KRISS Super V. The firearm is named by the company at their homepage here: KRISS Super V XSMG. The "KRISS Super V" refers only to the firing mechanism, which will be used in other firearms created by this company, so the XSMG, which the company included in the name of this specific firearm must be included at the end to differentiate from other firearms i.e.: it is the actual name being used by the company that manufactures the firearm. I notified Asams10 at both his talk page and the article discussion page, but he is being stubborn and moves the article back, stating that is is advertising. To avoid an edit war would other people, please get involved. Thank you Chessy999 23:44, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- do we have any administrators available that understand about firearms? Asams10 keeps moving the article against the group consensus. Chessy999 09:54, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
Actually, at the moment there is no consensus, so I recommend that no one move until a consensus can be reached. As for the administrators, there are a few, but I can't think of any names at the moment.--LWF 14:02, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- You've got it wrong, Chessy, however you refuse to reply to me or join the conversation on that talk page. The article was moved long ago and concensus was a moot point. Please stop going around to other people trying to plead your case and keep the conversation above board and on focus on the firearm's talk page, not behind everybody's backs. --Asams10 15:03, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- The MOVE button did not work as the article name is already created, only a #Redirect would work, and administrator SYSOP should be able to perform the MOVE. Chessy999 (talk) 15:07, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
- In that case, wait till there is a true consensus, and then go to WP:RM. That is the way to fix it, if it is necessary. As it is, don't request a move till there is agreement.--LWF (talk) 20:29, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Deagle
Hi I was just wondering why 'Desert Eagle' cannot be abbreviated to 'Deagle' in 'real life'??? Could you please explain. 90.201.191.14 (talk) 00:00, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- Simple, the only people who call it the 'Deagle' are players of certain video games, not actual users of firearms. Therefore, it is not actually called the deagle frequently, just by video gamers, especially in forums notorious for slang and abbreviations.--LWF (talk) 05:30, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
cluttered Hardballer
Hi
Somehow the removal of the pop culture section in the AMT Hardballer article completely cluttered up the References section. I'm fine with the removal of that section but please fix the reference.
// Karl —Preceding unsigned comment added by K-Man75 (talk • contribs) 18:09, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
It's fixed. It was a mixture of two things: use of the {{reflist|2}} instead of {{reflist}} template, and user:142.163.7.151's inclusion of the pop culture reference inside of the citation of Hartink.--LWF (talk) 18:16, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Ballistics
Hello! Thanks for your welcome. In the next few weeks I will try to read through all the material related to ballistics and see how to contribute.

Thank
Thanks for your support in my successful RFA. Glad I was a pleasant surprise. I hope to get a chance soon to try and finish off all the remaining cartridge infoboxes, at least the ones I have data for. AliveFreeHappy (talk) 07:21, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Warnings
I'm sorry that you feel I have a negative viewpoint of one of the editors. That is because I do. I, of course, see you to are friendly. I will not report your vandalism of my talk page, and I'm sorry to inform you I do not intend to give up on the issue he seems to have taken with the BRHMS article. I and others will continue to attempt to reach his moving goal post to provide an accurate and up-to-date entry. --Cozret (talk) 05:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
- My vandalism of your talk page! Oh that is good for a laugh. What I did can not be considered vandalism, all I did was caution you to, as WP:NPA says "comment on content, not on the contributor."--05:30, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
M-1 Carbine Revert War
The M1 carbine article is currently on lock down. An administrator has requested some discussion from memeber of the Firearms Wikiproject. Can you take a look?Sf46 (talk) 18:34, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Tag & Assess 2007 is now officially over, with slightly under 68,000 articles processed. The top twenty scores are as follows:
Although the drive is officially closed, existing participants can continue tagging until January 31 if they wish, with the extra tags counting towards their tally for barnstar purposes. We'd like to see what lessons can be learned from this drive, so we've set up a feedback workshop. Comments and feedback from participants and non-participants alike are very welcome and appreciated. | ||

Takur Ghar battle
Great!
Roberts Ridge, in starting it, is quite novelistic: as-it-happened descriptions, internal monologues and so on. This is good for adding dramatic depictions. But I was hoping, at the same time, to have a more clinical, scholarly source to accompany it. Hopefully Not a Good Day to Die fits the bill.
The goal would be something like what I have just done with Battle of Musa Qala (though its all news sources, as the battle just happened). It's at FAC, here. I tend to feed everything toward a featured article candidacy these days. So we could collaborate. I'll start a stub today or tomorrow. Marskell (talk) 21:00, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Great, just as soon as my life becomes less busy we can do it.--LWF (talk) 21:20, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
MP5K?
Thanks for the quick and pragmatic resolution to the conflict. Koalorka (talk) 01:16, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. I wish they were all that easy to resolve.--LWF (talk) 02:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
