This year, the club has thus far decorated Childrens Mercy Kansas City as well as hosting a Toys for Tots fund raiser.

The Olathe South theater department puts on three plays, including one musical each year. In 2002, Olathe South became the first high school in the United States to perform Footloose. The musical for the 2006-2007 school year was Hello, Dolly.

Special Programs

PCA - Olathe South features a special program called Professional Careers Academy, or PCA. The PCA's goals are to teach students leadership skills and ethics and prepare students for life after high school. [1] The PCA also brings in guest speakers in a program called the "PCA Lecture Series". This has brought in such speakers as ethics professor Marianne Jennings and local judge Janice Russell. [2]

CaSE - This stands for Computer and Software Engineering, the second 21st century program to come to Olathe South. This program provides students with the computer programming skills they need for their future endeavors in the computer market.
