Is all forgiven between you and me? I hope it is. You see, I'm basically done editing here as I plan to quit when my user talk edits reach 1,000, so I'm basically on my last legs due to my own stupidity and MYSPACEing, which I have decided that the project is basically and fundamentally better without. You've been my good friend up until recently, and even after that I still hold you as one of my wiki-idols. Unless something happens that restricts me to not being able to edit user talk pages, I'm afraid these will be our final goodbyes. I wish you well in real life. Unless something happens very quickly, I must go now. See ya. --[[User:Gp75motorsports|Gp75motorsports]] [[User talk:Gp75motorsports|REV LIMITER]] 00:52, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Change

I sent you an email, but in case it hits the spam bin, I will repost here. I know you think i am a worthless piece of shit, but what do i have to do to prove I have changed? Geoff Plourde (talk) 06:22, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your words, not mine. Quite frankly, nothing. Daniel (talk) 06:24, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So there is nothing i could do to show you I have changed? Geoff Plourde (talk) 06:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Other than edit solidly for an extended period of time without deviating from a non-power-grabbing platform, and stop asking questions like this? No. Daniel (talk) 07:54, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have been editing from a non power grabbing platform! But, I see that this is pointless and will just drop it. Geoff Plourde (talk) 16:43, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK Update

Any chance you could post the update? It's ready to go and it's three hours late. Gatoclass (talk) 12:24, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, Ruhrfisch has done it. Thanks anyhow :) Gatoclass (talk) 12:39, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It has been awhile but SEGA is back

You said a long while ago that if I spotted permanently banned SEGA that I could come to you. Better than getting told by checkusers I'm part of a penal colony. Daniel (talk) 09:49, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
But they do that too. Basically, you can't win until you checkuser him. dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 09:50, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DYK Update

Now 13 hours since last update! Mjroots (talk) 10:32, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The local image update is beyond me - wouldn't know where to start! Only spotted it was so overdue when adding an article. Mjroots (talk) 10:44, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, no worries. Doesn't matter, looks like someone beat me to it. Daniel (talk) 10:47, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My RfB

I wanted to personally thank you, Daniel, for your support in my recent RfB. I also must take the opportunity as I have been remiss for far too long thanking you for your calm and level-headed stewardship of the Mahmoud Ahmadinijead mediation. You remain one of the wikipedians I try and emulate when engaged in difficult discussions. I am thankful and appreciative that you feel that I am worthy of the trust the community requires of its bureaucrats, and I hope to continue to behave in a way that maintains your trust in me and my actions. I have heard the community's voice that they require more of a presence at RfA's of prospective bureaucrats, and I will do my best over the near future to demonstrate such a presence and allow the community to see my philosophy and practices in action. I hope I can continue to count on your support when I decide to once again undergo an RfB. If you have any suggestions, comments, or constructive criticisms, please let me know via talkpage or e-mail. Thank you again. -- Avi (talk) 15:56, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind words - they are extremely flattering coming from someone I respect so highly as an all-round Wikipedian and administrator. I was extremely happy you indicated you plan on having another shot at RfB, and if you remember I'd be happy to be on the end of a casual poke to the fact that you are re-running, should it happen, in the event that my activity is sporadic and as a result I may miss it. Cheers, Daniel (talk) 10:40, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The requisite 4 net votes + more than 24 hours have passed at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Episodes and characters 2/Proposed decision, so can it now be closed and the injunction lifted? Collectonian (talk) 02:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is no four net votes to close — four in support and one in oppose equals three net votes to close, short of the required four ("Four net "support" votes needed to close case (each "oppose" vote subtracts a "support")"). Daniel (talk) 02:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
