Frank just recently mentioned her in an interview ( this month, october 2006 ), and Gerard said they would be taking a break after this (long) tour to buy houses and have kids [1]. I don't think she's going anywhere. Her name is also "Jamia."--Jude 05:16, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

I just read that very article. It doesn't actually state that its FRANK specifically. Besides the interview is with Way, and he seems to only say that statement about buying houses and having kids as a general "Were going to live our lives" statement. -Lindsey8417 21:51, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

I was refering to two different interviews: One on video and the other in AP! The one on video Frank mentions that his fiancee "turns him on." Because the lady asked what turned them on. The second article was in AP, where Gerard Way ( as you said ) stated they would take a break for families and houses, but he meant the whole band, not just himself.--Jude 05:15, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

Marital Status

Do we even know for certain that he and Jamia are married? I was under the impression they were just engaged, as he's only referred to her as his fiancee. and if Mikey's page can't have Alicia Simmons on it even though they are engaged then Frank's should have the same restrictions. I'm an admin here, and have been watching this page for a number of months, mostly reverting true vandalism and badly formatted junk. That said, the thing about Jamia is something I'm mostly staying out of. The issue of whether he has a GF/fiancee/wife, and who she is, has been a slow boil edit war on this page for months, with it being changed several times a week. I have no idea personally which is true, and do not really care. But people keep changing the factoid.

Hmm. As I'm writing this and thinking about this, I'm thinking that, for a WP:BLP page, we have an unsourced fact that is being constantly changed. I'm inclined to say that, if someone cannot provide a source for the fact of his marital status, the factoid should be totally removed.

So, with WP:BLP as a policy to follow, I'm going to remove the marital status factoid entirely. Please do not restore it unless you can provide a reliable sourcing for the information. - TexasAndroid 16:45, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Frank stated in an interview with a New Zealand radio show called "The Edge" (I think it's a radio show, I'm not sure) that he and Jamia were engaged. I'm sorry, but typing up a transcript yourself will not meet WP:RS which is what is needed. We need sourcing to show the fact. Sourcing to meet the requirements of WP:RS. I really have no idea if he is engaged myself, nor do I care. But I do care about the fact that this factoid has been edit warred over so much here on this article. F.I.F.

Frank has his own (not owned BY him) fansite on www.myspace.com. It was the FIRST known fansite dedicated to Frank Iero. It was made Febuary 26, 2006, and is turning a year old. Somehow, I sincerely doubt this. The band formed five years before that, I'm sure he has had a fansite in that time. This sounds like someone just trying to promote their own site. (Aspen Coles 11:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC))

Epstein-Barr and engagement

I'm sure I read on here that Frank had Epstein-Barr Virus but this doesn't seem to be there anymore. I remember the old MCR site said he had had mono but obviously that's not there anymore.

Since he's been getting ill recently I wondered, I've heard a few people on fansites saying "he's ill again because of his EBV" and somesuch, although I suppose that might come back to here.

Also, he and Jamia are believed to be engaged since he has a tattoo of an eagle holding an engagement ring with "L.A. 5.25.06" on his upper right arm. Jane Gibson 19:49, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I read that one, they're so sweet! It's when people on deviantArt start saying that "maybe Frank went home from the tour because his wife was pregnant and had the baby" that you really have to wonder about the state of the fandom... Can we source the Geoff Rickly food poisoning statement? frank said himself in an interview with kerrang magazine that he had to leave a concert early because of food poisoning, and he does also suffer from epstein barr syndrome which weakens his immune system and that is why he is always sick. he is not married, but engaged, and is due to be married in march, 2008

I see that the only reference on here is imnotokay.net, which is only a fans site and not a primary source of information. I noticed that imnotokay.net is used as a reference in all the MCR articles, in spite of the fact that it's all speculation and gossip and is also really badly written. What's up with that?

I think in this case imnotok.net will be fine- it's probably the most trusted fan site out there, and also the most cited. Of course, it would be much better to have additional sources backing it up.

Incorrect Grammar, and other issues.

I've noticed his last name is spelt 'lero', with a regular 'l'... AFAIK, the 'l' should be capitalised, as it's a name. I also might add, the Trivia section was recently removed from the Gerard Way article. I feel that a trivia section on a factual biography of a living person is unnecessary. It says that Frank Iero had dreadlocks while in Pensey Prep. The band's actual name is not Pensey Prep, it is Pencey Prep

Parents

I think this point, currently under Trivia, should be included at the beginning somewhere, and also:

"Frank's parents' names are Anthony (Cheech) and Linda. Linda was featured in the song "Mama" off the band's third studio album, The Black Parade."

According to this, Linda Iero, Donald James and Donna Lee Way are all guest vocalists with Liza Minelli who acts as Mother War.

Yes, Liza Minelli was in fact the female vocals in the song "Mama" off of The Black Parade. I recently watched an interview with Gerard Way on FUSE and he talked about that one subject for like 5 minutes of the half hour!

Dogs

Shouldn't it say what KIND of dogs he has too under the trivia part? I know he has a pug if that helps. But some people want to know what kind of dogs Frank has.

Just to stress again. Unless his marital status can be very well sourced, it has no place on the page, and will be removed each and every time it is placed. WP:BLP is in play on this article, and the past continual edit wars over factoids about his GF/fiancee/wife has definitely shown this to be a controversial subject. Marriage

Just a heads up to say that the Bouncing Souls posted a genuine Myspace bulletin saying they played at Frank and Jamia's wedding (on 9th March I think), and although there won't be any proper sources for a while, I'd expect at least a few edits about this.

Text of bulletin:

Hey Everybody! Me, Pete and Bryan are at Bryan's place in Ny today workin on some new tunes and learning a Johnny Cash song for a compilation. We have some great new ideas that are gonna turn into some sweet tunes.

Yesterday we all enjoyed celebrating the wedding day of our good friend Frank from My Chemical Romance to his beautiful wife Jamia. It was a fine family gathering which ended up in us singing a couple of Frank's fav Souls songs. Matt Skiba from Alkaline Trio jumped up to sing along to an acoustic version of Night On Earth. He also did 3 of his songs on acoustic. Acoustic Skiba = goosebumps.

Congratulations to Frank to Jamia and much Love to you both.

TBH I don't think any of the bulletin belongs on here, certainly the verification of Franks wedding deserves a place in the article, but ultimately the bulletin itself is alot of excess. For example, I don't even have a clue who the Bouncing Souls are.

So I'm gonna take it out for the time being, if you disagree please say!

I'm not totally sure what you mean there - I didn't add it to the article, I was just posting that and the bulletin on the talk page so that anyone looking to remove any edits about the wedding (as has been done in the past because of vandalism, I think) would be able to see that there was actually some proof of it, even if not a wiki Reliable Source. I wasn't suggesting it should be added at all.

Oooooh wait I just checked the History and I see why you're posting... my bad! I agree that it shouldn't be there but we definitely need to get it sourced asap. (The Bouncing Souls are an ok band, not my kind of thing, but they're one of Frank's all time fave bands it seems and he goes to their gigs and has played with them a few times. ^_^) thefunkygibson^T¤C 22:39, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
