The HTC Touch, also known as the HTC P3450 or its codename the HTC Elf, is a Windows Mobile 6-powered Pocket PC designed and manufactured by HTC. Its main, unique feature is a user interface named TouchFLO [1] that detects a sweeping motion and can distinguish between a finger and a stylus. The TouchFLO features, incorporating stylus-free access to a music player, a photo album, a video player and a picture-based contact book, have been compared by some media[2][3] to the iPhone. [4][5] The global launch of the Touch was in Leicester Square, London, on June 5, 2007 [6], and the phone was initially available in two colours: black and green.[7]
In November 2007, HTC started to sell an "Enhanced" Touch (HTC P3452) with double the RAM and ROM of the original version (128MB and 256MB respectively). The newer version is also available in two new colors: white and burgundy.[7]

HTC Vogue
The CDMA version of the Touch, known as the HTC Vogue or the HTC P3050, has double the RAM and ROM of the original Touch, a faster 400MHz processor (MSM7500 QUALCOMM(R) 7500), and a faster over the air data capability, but no Wi-Fi.[8][9] This is sold under the name "Okta Touch" by Telecom NZ in New Zealand. Also sold as the HTC Touch through Sprint Nextel and Alltel in United States, and Bell Mobility and Telus Mobility in Canada.
Touch Family
HTC is in the process of building up a family of Touch products, of which the HTC Touch was the first member. The other members of the family, so far, are:
- HTC Touch Dual, very similar to the original touch, with the addition of a numeric keypad and HSDPA (3.5G), but removing support for wi-fi
- HTC Touch Cruise, an improved handset supporting 3G and having GPS capabilities.[10]
- HTC Touch Diamond, a significant re-design featuring HSDPA, 4MB internal storage, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and a new version of TouchFLO[11]
The family's slogan is Discover Touchnology.[12]
