This is a list of the descendants of Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith, the founding family of the Latter Day Saint movement.
- Joseph Smith, Sr. was born July 12, 1771 in Topsfield, Massachusetts to Asael Smith and Mary Duty. At the age of 24, he married Lucy Mack in Tunbridge, Vermont on January 24, 1795. They had eleven children together. He was one of the Eight Witnesses of the Book of Mormon's Golden Plates and was the first Presiding Patriarch of the early Latter Day Saint church. He died September 14, 1840 in Nauvoo, Illinois at the age of 69.
- Lucy Mack Smith was born July 8, 1775, in Gilsum, New Hampshire to Solomon Mack (a Revolutionary War veteran) and Lydia Gates. At the age of 20, she married Joseph Smith, Sr. in Tunbridge, Vermont on January 24, 1795. They had eleven children together. She is perhaps best remembered for her biography of her son, Joseph Smith, Jr. She died May 14, 1856 at the age of 81.
- After two years of marriage, a baby girl was born and died in 1797 in Tunbridge, Vermont.
Alvin Smith
- Alvin Smith was born February 11, 1798 in Tunbridge, Vermont. Alvin took a leading role in helping the Smith family work toward paying their debts and building their home. He died November 19, 1823 in Palmyra, New York at the age of 25. He never married, and he had no descendants. A vision claimed by his younger brother Joseph is said to have included Alvin and played a significant role in the establishment of the Mormon doctrine of redemption of those who die without a knowledge of the gospel and baptism of the dead.
Hyrum Smith
- Hyrum Smith was born February 9, 1800 in Tunbridge, Vermont. in 1816 the Smith family moved to Palmyra, New York. Shortly thereafter Hyrum was initiated as a Master Mason at the Palmyra’s Mount Moriah Lodge #112. At the age of 26, he married Jerusha Barden November 2, 1826 in Manchester, New York. They had six children together. Jerusha died in 1837. At the age of 37, he married Mary Fielding December 24, 1837 in Kirtland, Ohio. They had two children together. At the age of 43, he married Mercy Rachel Fielding (Mary's sister) and Catherine Phillips in August 1843 in Nauvoo, Illinois. They had no children together. He is perhaps best remembered for joining his brother Joseph Smith, Jr. in martyrdom. He died June 27, 1844 in Carthage, Illinois at the age of 44.

- Mary Smith was born June 27, 1829 in Manchester, New York. She died May 29, 1832 in Kirtland, Ohio at the age of three.
- John Smith was born September 22, 1832 in Kirtland, Ohio. He died November 6, 1911 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 79.
- Hyrum Smith was born April 27, 1834 in Kirtland, Ohio. He died September 21, 1841 in Nauvoo, Illinois at the age of seven.
- Jerusha Smith was born January 13, 1836 in Kirtland, Ohio. She died June 27, 1912 in Harper Ward, Utah at the age of 75.
- Sarah Smith was born October 2, 1837 in Kirtland, Ohio. She died November 6, 1876 in Ogden, Utah at the age of 39.
- Joseph F. Smith was born November 13, 1838 in Far West, Missouri. He died November 19, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 80.

- Sophronia Smith was born May 17, 1803, Tunbridge, Vermont. At the age of 24, she married Calvin Stoddard December 2, 1827 in Palmyra, New York. They had two daughters before Calvin died at the age of 35, after 9 years of marriage November 19, 1836 in Palmyra, New York. At the age of 35, Sophronia married William McCleary February 11, 1838 in Kirtland, Ohio. They had no children together. After about 20 years of marriage, William died about 1860, near the age of 53, in Illinois. Sophronia died August 28, 1896 in McDonough County, Illinois, at the age of 93.
- Joseph Smith, Jr. was born December 23, 1805 in Sharon, Vermont. At the age of 21, he married Emma Hale January 18, 1827 in South Bainbridge, New York. - Thaddeus Smith was born April 30, 1831 near Kirtland, Ohio. He died that same day.
- Louisa Smith was also born April 30, 1831 near Kirtland, Ohio, and she also died that same day.
- Joseph Murdock was born May 1, 1831 near Kirtland, Ohio. His mother died in childbirth. On May 10, 1831, he was adopted by Joseph and Emma. He died before he reached his first birthday when a mob tarred and feathered his father, Joseph. The child died from exposure (many accounts say pneumonia) five days after the event from the condition that doctors said he developed the night of the mob violence.
- Julia Murdock was born May 1, 1831 near Kirtland, Ohio. Her mother died in childbirth. On May 10, 1831, she was adopted by Joseph and Emma. At the age of 18 she married Elisha Dixon in 1849 in Nauvoo, Illinois. They were married four years when Elisha was killed in an accident in 1853 in Galveston, Texas. In 1855, at the age of 24, she married John Middleton. After 20 years of marriage, they separated in 1877.

- Frederick Granger Williams Smith was born June 20, 1836 in Kirtland, Ohio. He died April 13, 1862 in Nauvoo, Illinois at the age of 26.
- Alexander Hale Smith was born June 2, 1838 at Far West, Missouri. He died August 12, 1909 in Nauvoo, Illinois at the age of 71.
- Don Carlos Smith was born June 13, 1840 in Nauvoo, Illinois. He died September 15, 1841 in Nauvoo, Illinois at the age of 15 months.
- David Hyrum Smith was born November 18, 1844 in Nauvoo, Illinois. He died August 29, 1904 in Elgin, Illinois at the age of 60.

- Lucy Smith was born July 18, 1821 in Manchester, New York. She died December 9, 1882 near Colchester, Illinois at the age of 61.
