This article provides a list of episodes from the television series Stargate SG-1.
See Stargate for information on the Stargate fictional universe, Stargate (device) for information on the Stargate, and Stargate SG-1 for information on the series itself.

The plot of Stargate SG-1 begins about a year after the 1994 movie Stargate. The plot continues to develop in order through the episode list; anyone wishing for a detailed understanding of the plot would be advised to read through the episodes in chronological order.

All of the first seven seasons of Stargate SG-1 are available for purchase on DVD, and the eighth season will be available on October 19.

Carter is possessed by the Goa'uld Jolinar, and her life is at stake. Ultimately, Carter's life is saved and the parasite removed.

After being sentenced to life imprisonment on another planet for aiding a fugitive, SG-1 escapes with the help of a female inmate named Linnea, who possesses special powers. However, after they set her free, they discover she is a mass-murderer known as the "Destroyer of Worlds."

While exploring P7J-989, they discover a beautiful habitat within a sealed dome. They stumble upon a room with strange metallic chambers, most of them housing unconscious people. SG-1 becomes trapped inside the chambers and must escape.

While off exploring another planet, Daniel becomes seperated from SG-1 and stops a woman from killing herself. SG-1 gets captured by the and forced to work in the mines. Daniel dies while in the mine and is put into a sarcophagus by the woman he saved, who turns out to be a princess. Daniel must then save SG-1.

SG-1 returns to Cimmeria when they hear of a Goa'uld invasion there. Having destroyed Thor's Hammer, they feel responsible and help defend the planet while searching for a hidden chamber put there by the Asgard Thor.

After bringing back a mysterious sphere from another planet, it suddenly sprouts long rods which impale Jack O'Neill. After numerous failed attempts to remove it, SG-1 discovers that it contains the last of the doomed alien race, which are pacified by being moved through the Stargate to a new, more suitable home, rather than claiming Earth.

Bra'tac brings word that Apophis survived the destruction of his ship and has kidnapped [[Teal'c|Teal'c's] son, Rya'c. Upon returning to Chulak with SG-1, Teal'c finds that his wife, Drey'auc has married his old friend Fro'tak. The team is almost captured by Apophis forcing Jack O'Neill to take matters into his own hands.

SG-1 discovers a civilization which follows the Native American culture and religion, however, its spirits seem real and have unexplainable powers. After learning of the SGC's plot to mine the planet, the "spirits" invade the base, but the base is kept under control. It turns out that they were aliens only posing as spirits.

Sam is abducted by Fifth, and O'Neill is reawakened, to have his memory wiped after creating a mysterious device of Ancient design. The System Lord Camulus is given SGC asylum.

A human-form Replicator on Thor's ship disintegrates when Jack uses his Ancient device: we discover its function. Othalla is saved by the weapon, and the Replicators escape after Sam is released in Fifth's goodwill, though he creates a Replicator duplicate of her ('RepliCarter'). Jack is promoted to General in place of Weir and Hammond.

The SGC is entirely sealed due to a disease breakout. The disease is in fact the effect of being possessed by the ethereal remains of Anubis, who, half-Ascended, survived his defeat. Anubis escapes the SGC through the Stargate, though Sam alters his destination to a frozen distant planet.

When SG-1 goes missing, Baal ransoms them for Camulus. Camulus gives the SGC a ZPM, but it is rigged to explode on activation. Camulus returns to Baal with the ZPM on an assassination mission. Baal was bluffing: SG-1 return late from offworld. Jack nearly resigns, but realises he likes his job too much.

Daniel is stuck offworld when its populace breaks into civil war due to Goa'uld-worshippers. Daniel manages to coordinate a secret strategic attack from the SGC by sending a radio message through the Stargate in Goa'uld. Daniel is rescued.

Teal'c's mind becomes trapped in a VR-training machine that delivers electric shocks when he fails his missions in-game. He must find a way of beating its ever-hardening game before his heart goes into arrest due to the punitive powers of the chair. Daniel enters the game as well and together they win.

Teal'c is given permission to move into an off-base apartment presumably in Denver. Upon his arrival he becomes involved with Krista, his neighbor, who has an abusive boyfriend named Doug. Carter's boyfriend proposes to her and she is uncertain of an decision. Meanwhile, Teal'c is charged with murder and kidnapping and Daniel dissappears while trying to prove Teal'c innocent.

Rya'c plans to marry a woman of the Haktyl. Teal'c, upon hearing this, becomes angry at Rya'c. Meanwhile, Ishta comes to the SGC because she believes Haktyl has been comprimised. Carter attempts to find a suitable planet for them while they take refuge in the SGC. Later, during a meeting of the Haktyl warriors, Goa'uld Moloc captures Ishta.

RepliCarter contacts the SGC to explain that Fifth has immunised all Replicators to Jack's disruptor, and she'll help them modify the weapon to work. In fact, the Replicators are not immune, and she is making them so. Eventually, she even deceives Fifth; she kills him, immunises the army she subsumes, and escapes.

The Prometheus' crew are removed from it, save Daniel, when it is hijacked by Vala, a space-pirate. Vala wishes to trade the ship for Weapons-Grade-Naqahdah, but Daniel succeeds in taking the ship back from her and the crew are brought back on-board, although Vala escapes.

SG-1 finds that Harry Maybourne has become "King Arkhan the First" on a distant planet where he was allowed to take his forced retirement some years ago. The planet is now under Goa'uld threat, but Maybourne is not worried due to writings left by a time-traveling Ancient that prophesy, with accuracy, that SG-1 will defeat Aries on his arrival.

Russia and America both reach DEFCON 1 when it is discovered that many Goa'uld may have compromised both governments, due to the work of The Trust which has become entirely assimilated by Goa'ulds, including Robert Kinsey. The threat is destroyed and nuclear war avoided, though it appears that 'Goa-Kinsey' escaped.

A very ordinary man with an ATA Gene has his life ruined when, by the power of an Ancient communications device he accidentally finds, he begins to have visions of whatever it is that Jack O'Neill is doing. His life is given back to him when O'Neill informs his nearly-divorced wife of what had been going on.

Teal'c designs the final move of the Jaffa rebellion, capturing Dakara, to make all Jaffa question their loyalty. Daniel is abducted by RepliCarter so she can discover the weapon at Dakara (the only threat to Replicators) in his subconscious. Baal also moves his forces on the rebels at Dakara by order of the secretly-supreme Anubis.

Daniel has found his way into RepliCarter's mind whilst she was in his. He halts the Replicators long enough for Sam, in collaboration with Baal who dials every gate in the galaxy (seen in "Avenger 2.0"), to use the Superweapon to kill all Replicators, but not before RepliCarter kills Daniel Jackson. Baal flees in the light of the victory of the rebel Jaffa.

Daniel Jackson must choose death or powerless Ascension whilst Anubis makes to end all life in the galaxy: he captures the Dakara Superweapon and nearly uses it to do so before Oma Desala fights and stops him. Sam ends her relationship with Pete, her father and Selmak die of old age, and Daniel is returned to human form on Earth.

SG-1 uses an Ancient Puddle Jumper to time-travel back to ancient Egypt to recover a ZPM. However, by forcing Ra to leave with the Stargate at Giza, they alter the future: Daniel and Carter have never joined the military, Jack is retired, and the SGC doesn't exist.
