Folie à Deux is the follow up to the 2007 album Infinity on High by Fall Out Boy. The album is set to be released on November 4, 2008.[1] It is their fifth studio album release. The album's title, Folie à deux, literally means “the shared madness of two”.[2]
On August 25, Decaydance released a mixtape entitled "Welcome to the New Administration" on Citizens For Our Betterment. This mixtape contained several snippets and demos of new Fall Out Boy tracks that may appear on the album, including tracks named "ALPHAdog and OMEGAlomaniac", "Lake Effect Kid", "Catch Me if You Can/Proclamation of Emaciation" (featuring Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes), and "America's Sweethearts". Pete Wentz has said on his blog that all songs that aren't snippets, most likely won't be on the next album. He has also said in his blog, that "Catch Me if You Can/Proclamation of Emaciation" (featuring Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes) will not be on their next album. It is a song from Gym Class Heroes' new album The Quilt. He says Fall Out Boy fell in love with the track, so they remixed it, and re-wrote the chorus.[3]
