Vampires

Man, where do you get sources about "Serbian" vampire mythology in the 3rd century? a) Slavs, therefore Serbians, were not there yet at that time, so whatever myths mighe have been prevalent there at the time could not be Serbian. b) In any case, I'm interested in history of that area before 1000 CE So, I'd be grateful of what you can tell me and refer me to.

Vampires

Dude ,I don't have a clue how to use this User talk , but if you can see this: it was a typing mistake ,it actualy 6th centuary. Slovenians came to Balcan in 6 centuary ... But before that there are some drawings that are showing that Iliri and Trachani had Vampire legends. Is there anything you want to know?

So vampire legendry could be traced back to Illyrian beliefs? I'd not be surprised if the Etruscans had had them, when I see the Charon legendry and imagery they bequeathed on Rome. But as I said, anything is welcome, and I'll see if it's believable and credible. --Svartalf 02:08, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had to remove the tags off of Image:Yamcha1.jpg and Image:Yamcha.gif. In both cases you had them tagged as you being the creator of the work, but neither of which is applicable. The picture comes from gamespot and the picture was (most likely) drawn by Akira Toriyama. Beowulph 21:58, 26 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Yamcha ssj-l.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Yamcha ssj-l.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:SGKolosh Bread.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -SCEhardT 22:26, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Novi Sad

Unspecified source for Image:Robobatman16za.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Robobatman16za.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:43, 17 January 2007 (UTC). Veternik

PANONIAN (talk) 15:02, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
PANONIAN (talk) 20:50, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
== Image:Apsolutromant.jpg listed for deletion ==
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Apsolutromant.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. —Pilotguy (ptt) 17:21, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragonball Wiki

  • Hi there. I noticed you're a member of Wikiproject Dragonball, and I'm trying to recruit some people from that to contribute to the Dragon Ball Wiki. It's in terrible shape right now with pretty much no consistency or policies, and only this week have I been able to get Angela and Sannse to create some Forums for us over there. I've got a proposed Manual of Style going over there and would like some people to contribute to that to set up some policies and start making the wiki bigger, better, and more intelligible/consistent. If you're interested, please hop on over or talk to me. Thanks for the time, whether you're interested or not. Wildyoda 02:36, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Drekavac

You may see full article used as the reference posted at [1]. Whether you have heard or not heard about the name or people believing in it in Vojvodina is not relevant - you are not an etnographer, and you can't claim something if there is no reference confirming it. Also, saying that belief was widespread means only that today it is not widespread - it is spread, but not wide. It could, of course, be mentioned that belief still exists. A tag has been placed on Novica Cerović, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Image tagging for Image:Ban novica cerovic.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ban novica cerovic.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Notability of Slaninari

A tag has been placed on Slaninari, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Leon Sword 03:49, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Apsolutromant.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Apsolutromant.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already.

If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 19:32, 1 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nv8200p talk 19:32, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yakon and Pui Pui in Tenkaichi 3

Hello, SSJ 5. I noticed you've been adding Yakon and Pui Pui to the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 playable character list, claiming he's present in a trailer. Yakon is only an attack for Babidi, as seen in screenshots where he or Pui Pui are shown on the screen yet Babidi's face is shown next to the health bar. These two have also been shown to be attacks in videos where people have initiated Babidi's special attacks and Yakon or Pui Pui appeared for a brief moment.

Please refrain from adding these two in the future. Thank you, and happy editing! // DecaimientoPoético 16:57, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're right about not adding Pui Pui; that was just a careless mistake of mine. I reworded the comment accordingly. Now, just out of curiousity, where does the forum hint towards Yakon's appearance as a playable character? I'm a user on the forums (Szayel Aporro), assuming you're talking about AtariCommunity, but the only thing I've seen about Yakon and Pui Pui are petitions and polls on whether they should be playable or not. // DecaimientoPoético 17:32, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bscap038.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bscap038.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Fair use rationale for Image:006111.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:006111.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Alhambra cool.jpg}

Thank you for uploading Image:Alhambra cool.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
