Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 26.3 square miles (68.0 km²), of which, 24.9 square miles (64.5 km²) of it is land and 1.4 square miles (3.5 km²) of it (5.22%) is water.

There were 1,002 housing units at an average density of 40.2/sq mi (15.5/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.04% White, 0.26% African American, 0.26% Native American, 0.07% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races.
