Dill Mill Gayye is an Indian television series that airs on STAR One channel from every Monday - Thursday at 8:30PM IST. It is the sequel of the television series Sanjivani, which aired on STAR Plus channel. Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at urban educated youth. The series is set in "Sanjeevani Hospital", dealing with the lives of young & inexperienced doctors.It is a semi-sequel to Sanjivani
Concept
Dill Mill Gayye is a show aimed at the urban educated youth. Set in the backdrop of a hospital it deals with the pressures, the drama, the romance, the inter personal relationships and humour in the lives of young doctors. Keeping the environment of a hospital in mind, the characters of the show are real, their issues are believable and the approach is dramatic, but never unreal, albeit emotional and fun filled.

Dr Shashank Gupta Played by Mohnish Behl
He is one of the character to return from the prequel Sanjivani . He is head of Sanjeevani Hospital and father of Riddhima and Anjali. He finds out about the relationship of Riddhima and Armaan and doesn't except it until he finds out that both of them have not been eating for days.

Dr. Anjali Gupta Played by Sunaina Gulia
Anjali at 22, she's Shashank's older daughter and is used to having her way. Extremely beautiful, she is quiet conscious of her looks and not above using them. She is manipulative and conniving. She is a good doctor in her own right, though she is never a favourite amongst the patients, owing to her to-the-point attitude.
Dr. Atul Joshi Played by Pankit Thakker
Atul is the best guy friend a girl can ever have, without ever making him a real boyfriend. He is a good natured, easy going boy, who has become a doctor to fulfill the wish of his dead father. His father worshiped Sanjeevani and Shashank Gupta and he has come to pay his tribute to the man who adopted him.
Dr. Sapna Shah Played by Muskaan Mehani
She left the popular soap in late January , 2008. She was the friend of all the interns and in some ways she plays the mediator in the show. She fell for the senior doctor in Sanjeevani, Dr.Shubankar, but it did not work out. She ended up marrying Amit who was Armaan's friend and left the show after her wedding episode.
Dr Nikita Malhotra Played by Shweta Gulati
She is the beautiful girl who has just come in. Nikita helps Armaan and Riddhima to keep Anjali from doubting them.Nikita and Armaan pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend because they studied together in college. Nikita thinks that she loves Armaan and wants him to be happy, but it is just infatuation.Armaan thinks of her as his best friend.
Dr. Abhimanyu Modi Played by Amit Tandon
He entered the show very recently. He dismissed Dr. Keerti from Sanjeevani as one of the doctors would have to leave Sanjeevani. To raise money for Sanjeevani they hold a concert and he had to dance with Riddhima because Armaan was injured, but he soon quits (and returns) when Riddhima accuses him of touching her.He too later on has feelings for Ridhima.But Ridhima loves Armaan.
Dr. Rahul Grewal Played by Mayank Anand
He is a smart, once-ugly new intern from Sanjivani Amritsar.He was in college with his colleague Armaan.He once had feelings for Ridhima but they disappeared. He was married to Muskaan (but only to win a lottery).But gradually he started to have feelings for her.
Dr. Muskaan Chadda Played by Drushti Dhumi
She is a Punjabi chatter box and the new intern from Sanjivani Amritsar. Her family has known Rahul's family for a while and was once engaged to him, but that didn't work out. She started to have feelings for Armaan, but they disappeared.

He is the head cardiologist of Sanjeevani and is very dedicated and efficient in his work. He lost his wife in an accident and was depressed about it, but in a period of time, he recovered from it. He has a small bubbly daughter. He likes Keerti a lot, but feels shy to tell her. He is in love with Keerti and wants to marry her.
Dr. Keerti Mehra
She is the strict disciplinarian who gives her interns their duties and is very good in her work. She does not tolerate interns' mistakes. She is strict but caring. She is dismissed from Sanjeevani by Dr. Abhimanyu Modi. And Now back.
Nani
She is Dr. Smriti's mother and is very sweet, loving and caring. She loves Ridhima and Anjali a lot. She knows that Shashank has feelings for Padma and as she lost her daughter, and she wants someone to take care of Shashank, Ridhima and Anjali. Hence, she and Anjali are matchmakers for Padma and Shashank.
Padma Gupta
She was the head nurse of Sanjivani and also is Ridhima's birth mother. She quit her job when she married Shashank. She is very loving, caring, sweet and good at heart. She has placed herself as a family member of the Gupta family now. She has changed later on
Sister Lovely
Sister Lovely is a funny nurse that is in love with two if the the interns, Dr. Atul Joshi and Dr. Rahul Grawal. She is loved by everyone in the hospital and everybody knows that one day she will find the right guy!
