== Saw VI confirmation? ==

It appears that his filmography section has him returning as Dr. Gordon for Saw VI. Has this been confirmed anywhere?

Welcom to the Cary Elwes Discussion of Wikipedia.

I personally think there is not enough info on this man. I think that he either is very careful about what gets out about him or he has a bad publicist.  :)

Beth

I agree with you Beth. But then again, it should be noted that he is not a very famous actor and thus may have not attracted a lot of public attention.

Trina

he was also on 8 or 9th season of x-files

How to use a Talk page

Since the contributors so far don't seem to know how to use this space, here are some guidelines:

  • This is not a discussion forum or fan board. Discuss items relavent to the article. For example, stating you liked Elwes better with a mustache isn't a relavent topic.
  • Sign your posts. This is not done by typing your name at the end. This is done by using 3 or 4 tildes (~~~ or ~~~~) at the end of your post. The latter is preferred since it also adds a timestamp.
  • Start a new section for new topics. Do this by using wikimarkup for section headings, i.e. ==Heading==. Adding section breaks (----) also is advised.
  • Indent comments. If you are replying to someone, indent your comments and make sure you have one line of whitespace between your comment and theirs. For example:
Cary Elwes has 32" biceps. I think this should be mentioned in the article. Frecklefoot | Talk 15:13, August 17, 2005 (UTC)
No, they are only 30". I mesured them this morning. I'll update the article with this info.--CaryElwes 17:10, August 17, 2005
Mr. Elwes, I was wondering if you could confirm that Frederick Jackson Turner was your great-grandfather? Thanks! Edwardian 07:12, 2 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

shows the correct formatting of a conversation (sans a heading). Users should use the same indentation for all their comments in a discussion.

I hope this helps. Happy editing! Frecklefoot | Talk 15:13, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

Pronounciation

In Britain his name is pronounced Ew-els not El-Wez

So why does someone keep reverting it to El-wez? And what became of the biographical entry that in 2006 he admitted in interview to being bisexual?

This has happened again. bellum nuntio.

I just saw him tonight in the CBS TV film about Pope John Paul II. What a performance! He was the spitting image of the man. He was extraordinarily good. I didn't realise until the end who it was who had played him, just kept wondering "who the heck was that?". Full marks, Cary. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 05:09, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re the bisexuality thing: I presume it needs a source. Once a source is there then of course it has to go in. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 05:12, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tales Update?

Someone should add this.

In 1999, Elwes played a Dr. York in an episode of "The Outer Limits" called "Ripper." (cf. IMDB) 69.212.208.127 04:13, 4 September 2006 (UTC) Zuqaqipum[reply]

Brother

Someone needs to add info about his brother, Cassian Elwes who is a rather well known and influential person in the film industry. RoyBatty42 09:29, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Descendant of Guilford Dudley?

What is the evidence for him being a descendant of Guilford Dudley? Dudley and Jane Grey had no children. Is Elwes a descendant of a Dudley bastard? Or is he a descendant of the Dudley family, and thus related to Guilford Dudley but not descended from him? Or is the whole thing a fabrication? Simhedges 18:41, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:CaryElwes asKarol Wojtyla.jpg

Image:CaryElwes asKarol Wojtyla.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The image Image:LawrenceGordonSawShackled.JPG is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
