Hi. I was interested in this, under "Post-war period": "in the IG Farben Building, intentionally left undamaged by the Allies' wartime bombardment." I had previously had the impression that wartime bombing was in general quite imprecise, and I was surprised to read that this building survived, in an area generally quite badly hit, by design rather than luck. There are all sorts of great stories about what did and didn't happen in the bombing, so in a way I'd love this to be true, but it would be great to have a reliable source for this, at which point I'd be much happier about it being in the article. Can you help please? Thanks, DBaK (talk) 20:34, 19 September 2009 (UTC) |

I served as an Army General Staff captain and lived in IG Farben apartments in the IG Farben area during the occupaton years. The statement above that the buildng was "in an area generally quite badly hit" is not accurate from my personal observation. I wonder upon what the writer above bases that conclusion.CoppBob (talk) 03:41, 21 September 2009 (UTC) |

This article suffers a little from having been translated (partially? in full?) from the German Wikipedia article. I don't have time to tidy up the text, unfortunately ... just to point out the problem :-) UrsusMaximus 10:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's my fault. It was translated in full from the German, but I never got around to doing a final revision for English style so it's very klunky. — Laura Scudder ☎ 17:33, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

IG Farben building: intentionally undamaged? Source?
