I am amazed that the bhitari inscription is completely missed out as a source .Skendagupta slept on the floors as ordinary soldiers and built canvas shelters for the indian long bow to ensure that Maghadhans would win victory agaisnt the huns. If you do not keep your bow dry then it becomes effective was obvious when Porus was overcome by alexander but I will try to provide the source of his tactics soon

The Junagadh rock contains inscriptions of Ashoka (fourteen of the Edicts of Ashoka), Rudradaman I and Skandagupta.
