Rich Text Format with attachments also known as RTFD is a document-format of TextEdit, an application native to NeXT and MacOSX which has been ported to other Unices. It is a bungle (a folder containing files). It contains a Text/RTF called TXT.RTF. Images used in the document are in the bundle in their native formats. The TXT.rtf also contains metadata and the text with the RTF–escape-sequences formatting it.
