Hey ZooPro. Would you be able to show me how to fill in taxoboxes to animal articles such as [[Spotted sucker]]. I want to know how to do it myself, and this would also save others the stress of doing it every time I create a new article. Cheers.--<font color= "red">[[User talk:Domestic Cat|Domestic CAT]]</font> 20:28, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

To ZooPro

Hi, thanks for helping me in taking over WikiProject Zoo. I just want you to know that I appreciate it, and that if you ever decide to come back, that you are welcome to assume leadership of the WikiProject again. Cheers, The Arbiter 01:12, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Taxanomy of the domestic cat

Greetings ZooPro. I am Shadow Android. For a long time, I thought the domestic cat is Felis Sylvestris, yet on the page Cat, it is listed as Felis catus. Since I read your profile, you seem to know a lot about animals. Could you clearify this Taxanomy mistery for me? Thank you.

Welcome Back!

Hey there, welcome back. Yeah, I'll work on the userbox and other things, but currently, I am taking a wikibreak till the new year, so I will be back then. See you soon! The Arbiter 19:31, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Brilliant assessor"

I'm not that (as you claimed at User talk:Belugaboy535136#WikiProject Mammals). I recently forgot about the "start" class for a bit, and assessed a bunch of articles as stub or c. Here's a question: should the Template:Mammal doc page make a note about preferring the Template:Rodent etc. rather than the parameters in that template? I'll mostly be assessing rodent pages, and also browsing for important pages needing assessment (musk-ox was one.) —innotata (TalkContribs) 20:42, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have responded on your talk page in more detail but my answer is Yes. ZooPro 04:11, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Cetaceans

Hello, ZooPro! This is Belugaboy535136, again. As you know, I am a member of WikiProject Cetaceans. I noticed at the bottom of my userpage, there was no CATEGORY:WikiPROJECT CETACEANS MEMBERS as there were for mammals and zoo. And I searched "Category:WikiProject Cetaceans Members" or whatever it said, and hit search, and there was no results found. If you could get this page made ASAP, I would be much grateful of you. Warm regards, Belugaboy535136 (talk) 13:44, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My Christmas gift to you!

Caspian tiger

If that is the case, then the articles on Gibraltar monkeys and black panthers should get their own taxboxes. They dont, because the former is simply a population of an animal that already has a taxbox describing it, and the latter is simply a colour variant. Colour and population variations (unless recognised as distinct taxons) do not merit taxboxes.Mariomassone (talk) 02:05, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fine, I shall rephrase it as "melanistic leopard". Taxboxes should be reserved for distinct taxons. Subspecies should be the minimum requirement. Colour variations or populations seperated by purely "political" boundraries do not fit that.Mariomassone (talk) 02:18, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

None in particular. I'm satisfied with the current policy, though if your appeal to the administrators works, I won't have a problem with it.Mariomassone (talk) 10:49, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, ZooPro. It's Belugaboy535136. I was wondering if you could take a look at my new article, Tropic World and give me your opinion. Thank you for your time, Belugaboy535136 (talk) 16:22, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I Can't Take It!!

I can't take the pressure anymore! I admit it! I did place myself as coordinator. I noticed it and thought the Cetaceans Project needed one. I didn't know that some don't have to have a coordinator. Please don't put this on record, I'm having so much fun as a Wikipedian, and with my articles. Thank you, Belugaboy535136 (talk) 23:37, 28 December 2009 (UTC) P.S. Please stop the pressure! I'll try to stay at the bottom of the WikiProjects.[reply]

Ummmmmmm WTF, i have no idea what you are talking about, Please explain???? ZooPro 06:39, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay now i am up to speed. Refer to my response on the Cetacean talk page. ZooPro 06:55, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

so, any news on the collaboration project for WP:ZOO? The Arbiter 22:53, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crap i forgot about that, i will have a look over it today and find out what needs doing. Are you happy with World Association of Zoos and Aquariums or does something else catch your eye. I nominated it becuase it the central point of zoos all around the world. ZooPro 23:54, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Wes Mannion with Tiger.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Wes Mannion with Tiger.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 04:38, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Primates

Hello, this is Belugaboy535136 again. It's so nice to see your talk page once more. I was wondering how you set up a poll for project coordination, as I think WikiProject Primates needs a coordinator deeply, being one of the busiest WikiProjects on the English Wikipedia. No, you don't understand. I wasn't going to nominate myself, I'm not nearly experienced enough. I was going to nominate a much more experienced editor. Regards, Belugaboy535136 (talk) 13:30, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, stop yelling. I shall remove myself from WikiProject Primates. Let's just NOT talk to each other anymore, OK? I don't give a care anymore. Please, do it for the better of both of us. Regards and goodby, Belugaboy535136 (talk) 13:34, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spider monkeys

Can you explain Wikipedia's stance on taxonomy, names, the IUCN, and more in regards to Red-faced Spider Monkey to Belugaboy535136? I'm losing my patience over this all. See the talk page for Red-faced Spider Monkey, my talk page, etc. —innotata (TalkContribs) 22:53, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

See also: this removed revision of Talk:Red-faced Spider Monkey. —innotata (TalkContribs) 23:11, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
As I expect you've noticed, he's removed the message from his talk page. —innotata (TalkContribs) 14:51, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think either you or User:Swift said that it hasn't been much work to clean up after Belugaboy535136. I've been doing just that and I rather disagree. I think a block is in order, given that about 20 pages have had there IUCN status changed incorrectly (Gelada and Ringed Seal among them). Add that to all the pages requiring cleanup. —innotata (TalkContribs) 15:58, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have you also noticed the rather more harmless way he's been copying other people's signatures, and changing them almost every time he makes a comment. This is rather in line with his "attitude". —innotata (TalkContribs) 16:01, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I was told that you were busy, but if you do manage to get a spare moment or two, would you be willing to help me with Old Ephraim? If we are fast, we could probably get a DYK on this article, and if we are really good, this would make a great GA or FA. If you are too busy, that is fine, but if you know anyone else who would be interested in this article, can you please notify them? See User talk:Intelligentsium for a better understanding of the situation. Cheers.--Domestic CAT 23:45, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm honestly surprised that others here have so much faith in me that they are begging for me to stay, but if they really think I could be an asset to Wikipedia, then I'll stay. I'll continue where I left off adding articles to Wikiprojects but for now I will use the recommended "RODENTS" tag instead of the "SQUIRRELS".--Domestic CAT 07:45, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
