Kendra is an American reality-based television series that debuted on E! on June 7, 2009. The program details model - and former girlfriend of Playboy owner Hugh Hefner - Kendra Wilkinson's life after moving out of the Playboy Mansion, including her engagement to American football player Hank Baskett and her preparations for motherhood.
Plot
Kendra follows the antics of The Girls Next Door's Kendra Wilkinson. The blond bombshell finds herself at a crossroads in her life as she leaves behind the luxuries and amenities of the legendary Playboy Mansion and ventures out to live on her own for the very first time. Newly married to Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett, Kendra struggles to find a balance between being a housewife, her newfound domestic duties and the fun, uninhibited lifestyle she has always lived.

Ratings
Kendra premiered as the highest-rated series debut on the network since The Anna Nicole Show in 2002. The show out-performed all premiere episodes of The Girls Next Door including last season's debut by 76% in the adult demographic.[1]
The show, in its timeslot of 10pm averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 1.8 rating among adults 18-49. Its success had a knock on effect, helping to boost the second season premiere of another show on the E! network, Denise Richards: It's Complicated which attracted a series high of 1.5 million viewers.[2]
A second season for Kendra has been confirmed on Wilkinson's Facebook page.[3]
Season finale
The finale, which featured Kendra's wedding to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett, averaged more than 2.1 million total viewers and scored a 1.7 household rating, the highest first-season finale since The Anna Nicole Show in 2002. [citation needed]
Second Season
According to Hollywood Reporter, E! has scheduled a second season of the breakout reality series Kendra starring former Playboy girl Kendra Wilkinson. They have ordered 12 more episodes of the show which chronicles Kendra Wilkinson's marriage to the Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett. Lisa Berger, the executive vp of original programming and series development at E! stated, "We saw a marriage in Season 1, and now we are going to see Kendra navigate the unfamiliar waters of being a newlywed and a new parent all at the same time. We can't wait to be there with her every step of the way." An ad on E! stated that the new season of Kendra will start in March 2010.
A special hour-long episode of Kendra aired on Sunday 20th December 2009 titled Kendra: Here Comes Baby which featured the delivery of Hank IV and the moments leading up to the birth, averaged 2.7 million viewers -solid numbers for E!- [4]. This is not considered to be part of either Season 1 or Season 2. Instead, it is a stand-alone special episode bridging the two seasons.
