Stampfli ExpressStämpfli Express — The correct spelling of Stämpfli has the a-umlaut. Writing Stampfli is incorrect, thus the page should be moved. —Qualalol (talk) 20:33, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Correct Spelling? (Stämpfli not Stampfli.) I think this should be corrected. Yes, you cannot by default type the a umlaut on an english keyboard, but the wikipedia search function can still find the page, i.e. there are no problems finding the article on Jakob Stämpfli without the umlaut being typed in. • Oppose. The one link that I accessed from the article uses the current spelling. The other was in a foreign language. Vegaswikian (talk) 17:05, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • Look on the official Stämpfli website : [1]. They use an umlaut, so Stämpfli is the correct spelling. Although many english speaking people fail to use it, most of the rest of the world uses it, both for the company, and the Stämpfli Express. On the boat itself, it is spelled Stämpfli. (Note: the Stämpfli website no longer has any information about the boat.) Oh, and lastly I just found a picture showing the boat's name clearly: [2] Qualalol (talk) 18:52, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • I just noticed I'd linked to the German version of the Stämpfli site, the English version also states Stämpfli: [3]. (Their logo omits the Umlaut on that site, EVERY other reference is written Stämpfli though...) Qualalol (talk) 08:51, 31 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
