The Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro system in Delhi consists of 15 metro stations from Jahangirpuri to Central Secretariat with a total distance of 17.36 km.[1] This line is fully underground and has been laid under one of the most congested parts of Delhi.

History

The following dates represent the dates the section opened to the public, not the private inauguration.

  • December 20, 2004: Vishva Vidyalaya-Kashmere Gate (4 km)
  • July 3, 2005: Kashmere Gate-Central Secretariat (7 km)
  • February 4, 2009: Vishva Vidyalaya-Jahangirpuri (6.4 km)

20.16 km southwest from Central Secretariat, crossing into Gurgaon in the adjacent state of Haryana.

20.16 km southeast from Central Secretariat, on a fully independent line using standard gauge instead of broad gauge:
