Shooting long range isn't the height of athletic ability in the NBA - driving to the hoop and scoring is. The league's most athletic players aren't consistent 3-point shooters (Jason Richardson, Corey Maggette, Josh Smith, Allen Iverson, Richard Jefferson). But they can all get to the hoop and score. In fact, less athletic players like Peja Stojakovic tend to rely more on 3's than athletic swingmen do, even though a lot of them like to shoot them. Also, in the article Wang ZhiZhi is listed at 6'11 but he is easily a 7 footer, in fact, he's listed at 7'1. [[User:Habs24|Habs24]] 02:05, 14 March 2006 (UTC) |

First Asian NBA player?
Wang is not the first Asian NBA player. Wataru Misaka is. See http://www.asiansportsnet.com/basketball/history_nba.html and http://www.nba.com/features/global_misaka_010417.html –MementoVivere 19:21, 7 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- Technically, Wang's not even the first Asian-born player, since Tom Meschery was born in Manchuria to Russian parents. Zagalejo 18:51, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
There is some clarification necessary; Wang must not be a great ballhandler or something like that, because being known for long range shooting in the NBA is a height of athletic ability; this must be a tx typo kind of thing. I don't know Wang's game or I would fix it now.--McDogm 19:30, 6 May 2005 (UTC)
