I know you. I've recently created this account so I can integrate Linescratchers information into Wikipedia. Since Linescratchers has a few good direct quotes from artists. I'm not 100% sure how to do everything right so maybe I can ask for your help now and then? [[User:Syphax1|Syphax1]] ([[User talk:Syphax1|talk]]) 14:29, 27 March 2010 (UTC)

Revision as of 14:29, 27 March 2010

Fresh start

On October 14, 2008 I cleared this page. The topics then listed were as follows:

  • 1 Welcome!
  • 2 Book of Zechariah
  • 3 DYK
  • 4 Speedy deletion of Segullah
  • 5 Re: Deleted Article
  • 6 Test
  • 7 Opening salvo
  • 8 Val Chadwick Bagley
  • 9 July 2008
  • 10 AfD nomination of Val Chadwick Bagley
  • 11 Personal attacks

Anyone who would like to renew any of those topics is welcome too, but they all seemed pretty dead to me.

And hey! Thanks for stopping by! Please feel free to start up any new topic you like.

You could create an archive talk page if you like! See WP:ARCHIVE or my own for an example. - Fayenatic (talk) 12:20, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion disaster

Hi. You must be here because I screwed up the deletion process. Right you are. I've never done it before and I did not do it perfectly. Please feel obliged to link me to all the things I should have read first.

Thanks! Thmazing (talk) 17:54, 10 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:MarypettyTNYcover crop.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 07:49, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou

Thankyou for your message. It is nice that some people appreciate my edits.Johnpacklambert (talk) 19:49, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Side Note

I noticed that Val Chadwick Bagley had been on your old talk page. I then went and looked up the article on him, and found it has been deleated four times. That has to be close to a record of number of times an article has been deleated. I am going to go make an article on him at mormonwiki.com. It is still small, but at least my work there does not get deleted like it sometimes does here on wikipedia.Johnpacklambert (talk) 19:59, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it got deleted in the first place because I made a major screwup in an edit and that brought attention to it. C'est la vie. Thmazing (talk) 20:02, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

County templates

Thanks for the note :-) I don't know why, but for the last few weeks it's seems that whenever I (1) look at a page, (2) modify a template on that page, and (3) look at the page again, it always looks as if I'd not done anything to the template. You're not doing anything wrong; it's something with the server. Sorry I can't help you with the coding; if you want to find out more, you could put a note at the technical Village Pump, as others might have a better idea that I do. long/lat

And thanks for the compliment :-) Nyttend (talk) 03:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Kerry Blair, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kerry Blair. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. DreamGuy (talk) 03:47, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Whitney Awards

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Whitney Awards. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Whitney Awards. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Thmazing! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 739 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jon Hammond - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 21:30, 8 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Paul Fox (producer) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andyzweb (talk) 07:11, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Afd nomination for Girl Crazy (1997 film)

I don't believe it meets our guidelines. The discussion is here. Clarityfiend (talk) 23:15, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
