AirTran Concourse

We do not know if AirTran is going to be in Concourse C. It could be in B or C. We need to make a undecided section. But Mindy911 (wikipedia user) had different thoughts. He/she erased what I did and but AirTran in Concourse C.

American Cutting back at CMH

Hi, I am an American ticket agent at Port Columbus, well was. All the american airlines staff members have been layed off. Half of us are expedted to be rehired un American Eagle to work american flights to/from CMH. That is not the only thing. We were told that American will be cutting service to STL from CMH in November, (Not yet been in media) and is expedted to cut the amount of flights to LGA in half or get rid of them all together. Should I or somebody else put these service changes on the CMH Page under where American serves to/from CMH? --AACMH5562 (talk) 21:13, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry to hear that people have lost their jobs. As far as removing destinations, it's important to wait until the information can be verified. Cutbacks such as what you describe are usually covered by the local media. If or when it is published, then the article can be updated.--Analogue Kid (talk) 21:49, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Delta Slashing Routes

Delta has not gotten rid of any routes except Los Angeles (returning in June). I know this because I am a ticket agent at cmh for Delta Airlines and Delta Connection. I don't know where you got this information. Delta is limiting the amount of times we fly to those destinations not getting rid of them.

New Website

there is a relly cool and nice website that poped up on the cmh page a couple of weeks ago it is fantastic and they are updating it every day. they have news that cmh website doesn't have. it takes like a week to get the most current information on the offical cmh website and it is approved by the airport authority. STOP FIGHTING

Ok, guys, I am sick of seeing 20 edits per day adding flight info then removing it. Firstly, none of your edits are referenced, which needs to be addressed. Secondly, it looks bad when the flight info keeps changing. I am making a rule which should mirror closely to what has been agreed upon on WikiProject:Airports: Flight info needs to be referenced and current (i.e. future flight plans should not be added) One exception I will allow is if the info is referenced and the flight is to begin within 30 days. But PLEASE, do not change the flight info at your will. If your have a conflict with the data on the site but you do not have direct reference, add your complaint to the talk page so it can be discussed. Um, references are universal. Shut up. The flights either are happening or aren't. I don't think they change that often. Make a decision and stick with it. And for your information I have spent many hours making this a better page, so I do have some say on this page. Destinations

Observing this page over the last few months, I see lots of anonymous edits regarding new destinations. These usually end up being removed as we have no way of knowing whether it is actually true. To all editors, please cite sources such as a Columbus Dispatch or Business First article when adding new destinations. I realize some editors may work in the airport and have inside information, but unforutnately we need reliable sources. Hey Spongefan, I looked on Delta's website, they do have year round service on a MD-90 from SLC to CMH. They also have RJ service.

Facilities restates runway info already in the infobox

The whole "Future Development" section sounds a bit vague (and without references). "To facilitate an anticipated passenger increase, the current terminal will be improved in order to maximize the usage of the facility."? That's like saying, "To improve things, things will be improved."

Refs need a separate section. Some of the external links can be used, and should be moved to the References section.

Overall a very good article, certainly B-class, I'd put it up for GA after the above issues are fixed.

aircraft list

A list for aircraft served at port columbus has popped onto the article, but has no references. I edited it to fit within the article, but I would like a consensus on whether this category is even necessary. If so, whomever added it, please source your references. If there are no references, it must be removed until a reference can be provided. I would assume this info wasn't pulled out of thin air, so I am leaving it for now. Thanks. Yeah doesn't seem like it's very relevant. Technically I'm sure every major western aircraft ever produced has visited Port Columbus at some point. I specifically remember flying to Phoenix on an America West 757 10 years ago, but of course they've reduced their operations mostly.--Analogue Kid 14:52, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I forgot to add the reference in. I am the one who created the list. I thought it would be a could idea to let peolple know what type of major aircraft flew into CMH. I found the info on NATCA's CMH local page. It is down in the external links. I also put the gate numbers for each airline, but someone took those off. I found those using CMH real time flight info, by writing down what ever gates a saw for that airline. I found Skybus's gates when I flew on U.S. Airways to LAS, In Concourse B. Ground Transportation

Something is missing for the article. I've already added public transportation to this article, but considering there's already added transportation like the Interstate 270 and Interstate 670 access in the beginnning part of the article. With this, I'm considering moving the road access to the public transportation and change the section to ground transportation. Anybody want to put any imput into this? I am not sure what the standards are for this. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Airports for that information. If it is not there, ask on the discussion page. They should give you a good answer quickly. As for the intro paragraph, I would say leave it for now, as that paragraph is supposed to briefly cover the contents of the rest of the article. It can be reworked to cover public transportation too. If you want, ask them also about that. Something like "Port Columbus is also accessible via public transportation, however options are limited to bus, taxi, and airport shuttle." Work it in how you think. The car paragraph can also be reduced and that info could be added to ground transportation if the airport project guys think it is ok. Polypmaster 10:36, 19 April 2007 (UTC)

CMH code

I was hoping that this article would have information explaining how the code CMH got applied to Port Columbus. While I believe I have known the answer before, I can't seem to remember it now. If anyone has it, please add it to the article. Jimbobjoe 06:35, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

CMH Map

The map of the terminal is based on the most recent information available from Port Columbus. While I understand it may not be perfect, it is the best that can be done with the information given. If they release a new map I will do my best to quickly update the image. Please also understand that original research is not valid for referencing any information, including images.

Overall, the map is a very helpful image that provides a general overview of the terminal and facilities contained within. Polypmaster 15:16, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

The map needs an update -- according to the folks on Airliners.net, Midwest has moved to C48&49 and Skybus has moved to Midwest's old gates. Aircraft incidents

I have added an incident section to the article as well as some incidents. I am having some trouble collecting all serious incidents since the NTSB site is not sorted by airport, and does not seperate minor incidents from serious ones. The sites I have found that provide easy dissemination of the information do not have complete records. If someone wants to sort through the 25 pages of NTSB records pertaining to Columbus, Ohio or knows a simpler way, please tell me. Also, I am unsure about the formatting. Why "PORT"?

Why is Port Columbus International Airport called "Port Columbus International Airport"? As opposed to "Columbus International Airport"?

And should a passage listing said reason be added to the article?
