The Democratic Watan Party of Afghanistan (Persian: حزب "وطن" دموکراتیک افغانستان) is a political party in Afghanistan. It emerged out of the Parcham faction of the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan. It took the name Watan Party (Homeland Party) in 1990 and its present name in 2002.

"Watan Party" (The Homeland Party - Afghanistan) was the new name for the People's Democratic Party of Afghanistan. In the Second Congress, 1990 (18th plenuum), the party changed its manifesto, its theoretical approach and adopted the name "Watan Party". The new aims and objectives were mainly based on the principles of the National Reconciliation, National Unity, reconstruction, etc. Though there is no official organ to represent the Party, its web site www.payamewatan.com serves as a platform to provide information about the Party and the activities of its members across the world.
