Changing "Linux" to "GNU" in various articles

Hi,

There's been a long (and mostly unproductive) discussion about this in various places on Wikipedia, mostly concentrated in the archives of Talk:Linux. long story short, at the moment the general consensus is that OSes using the Linux kernel should be referred to as Linux unless there's a particular reason for doing otherwise (such as a proper name like Debian GNU/Linux). Cheers. Chris Cunningham 10:43, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of GnuGet

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article GnuGet, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Hi. Sorry for the overly newbie-geared language of the template; I use it anyway because it contains all the handy links needed to address the problem. Another contributor noted duplication between these pages on March 25th, and I have confirmed. I'm afraid that we need verification of licensing to reuse this content. Please let me know at my talk page if you have any questions. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:41, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
