The album most likely will not have many features but production will include Pharrell, Salaam Remi, Danja, Jim Jonsin and No I.D..[4][5] J. Cole wants his fans to expect a different sound, while he speaks about topics that have never been included in hip hop music before. He has said Jay-Z was happy with the album.[4]

Guests

J. Cole stated that he wished to work with Lauryn Hill, André 3000, Kanye West and Nas.[6] He later stated that he did not want to feature any high profile guests except for his mentor Jay-Z.[3]
