Waikiki has a hospital?
It says he was born in Waikiki, but I don't know of any hospitals in Waikiki. Kapiolani is close, but is still outside the Waikiki boundaries. Does anyone have a source that says where he was actually born? —Preceding unsigned comment added by BillyNair (talk • contribs) 20:01, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've added a request for a cite to the article. If you doubt the information, feel free to remove it, it is unsourced. (I should point out, though, that nothing says he was born in a hospital.) - SummerPhD (talk) 20:43, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
- I've added a source; according to Allmusic, he was born "Peter Hernandez in Waikiki, Hawaii". Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 02:54, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- The way it is worded now seems more appropriate. --Billy Nair (talk) 19:18, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

It is possible that Bruno's parents were living in Waikiki at the time of his birth. There actually was a hospital in Waikiki (the original Kaiser Hospital next to the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor) but it was torn down in the mid-80s. So, and this is a guess, what the writer may have intended to say was that Bruno was a resident of Waikiki when he was born.
However, Waikiki is not in the Roosevelt High School school district so he almost certainly was not living in Waikiki when he was a teenager. (71.22.47.232 (talk) 08:56, 20 September 2010 (UTC))
Filipino or Hawaiian?
I came to this page earlier to see that he was Hawaiian/Puerto Rican. I come back and now it reads Filipino/Puerto Rican. Which one is right?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.253.123 (talk) 02:07, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm having trouble finding a solid reliable source to support it, but most information such as this say he is half Filipino (by way of his mother), half Puerto Rican (through his father). Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 03:01, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
If you put his father's ethnicity first Bruno is Puerto Rican/Filipino. His father, Peter Hernandez Sr., is Puerto Rican. His mother (maiden name Bayat) is Filipina. Bruno's uncle, his mother's brother, is known professionally as John Valentine. Do a google search on John Valentine and you'll find many reliable sources of information. (71.22.47.232 (talk) 08:50, 20 September 2010 (UTC))
Puerto Rican Filipino are nationalities still doesn't find out his ethnic racial backround and personal i don't see how it matters. puerto rican could be anything thing from white black navie mixed etc.... not more different than saying someones half amercian but you wouldn't know it could be anything from white amercian afican amercian asian amercian. To me bruno looks like a lovely bit of everything :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.24.51.238 (talk) 20:24, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Gypsy Love
I have removed Gypsy Love as the title of Mars's debut album from the article as well as the navbox, as it is unreferenced, and I could not find anything of the kind from any news sources; the only result I found online were a couple of blogs (hardly reliable sources). Protection?
I think that this article should be protected. or atleast semi protected. CJISBEAST (talk) 16:30, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Why is that? --Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 19:43, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Birth year
I have removed the unsourced birth date of the eighth of October, as no reliable, verifiable source exists for this. However, many sources, including MTV News and Spin have his age as twenty-three, making his year of birth either 1986 or 1987. Unless you have another source claiming otherwise, please do not change this. Feel free to discuss here. Yvesnimmo (talk) 02:43, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
Track called LOVE by Jaeson Ma ft. Bruno Mars
I discovered a track by Gospel hip hop artist Jaeson Ma featuring Bruno Mars, called LOVE. Watch the video here. The song was apparently released 31 August 2009.

He doesn't seem to be credited with the release on the iTunes Store nor Amazon.com. And I can't seem to find any reliable, verifiable sources. :\ Yvesnimmo (talk) 16:25, 4 October 2010 (UTC)- Found sources! Will add to article. Yves (talk) 04:55, 24 November 2010 (UTC)
Tenor
Shouldn't Bruno be categorized under "American Tenors"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bob bee bee (talk • contribs) 22:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- Sure! You could add that category yourself, but you'd have to reference it, so maybe you could include a little something in the Musical style section? Yves (talk) 22:38, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I have a few references.12
I however, am pretty new to using wikipedia as far as editing articles goes. His page is obviously semi-protected. How can I gain access to contribute to his page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bob bee bee (talk • contribs) 01:00, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
