Thank you for the feedback

Thank you very much. Yes, if you could help me with the incline citation, that would be great! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cloud21pr (talkcontribs) 23:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done! Or at least I think I have. Chevymontecarlo 16:46, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of 2012 adherants

Hi Chev'!

Just want you to know that someone has suggested deleting the 'list of 2012 adherants. I think this page is not only notable now - but will be even more notable AFTER 2012 when the public will be able compare claims and claimants with realities. If you believe it's important, please have your say on the article-delete-page for this entry! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/List_of_2012_adherents#List_of_2012_adherents Thanks Zenji (talk) 01:35, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for letting me know but perhaps you should write the article later on after 2012 if you feel it will be more notable then. Chevymontecarlo 16:40, 31 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Avdi Square

Thanks for your feedback on the Avdi Square page I created, and apologies for my delayed reply. I hope this is the right way to respond to you. KathyB111 (talk) 15:12, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, this is fine. Glad my feedback was useful. Chevymontecarlo 15:38, 1 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Added template for SuggestBot

Hi,

Thanks for being one of SuggestBot's users! I hope you have found the bot's suggestions useful.

We are in the process of switching from our previous list-based signup process to using templates and userboxes, and I have therefore added the appropriate template to your user talk page. You should receive the first set of suggestions within a day, and since we'll be automating SuggestBot you will from then on continue to receive them regularly at the desired frequency.

We now also have a userbox that you can use to let others know you're using SuggestBot, and if you don't want to clutter your user talk page the bot can post to a sub-page in your userspace. More information about the userbox and usage of the template is available on User:SuggestBot/Getting Recommendations Regularly.

If there are any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me on my user talk page. Thanks again, Nettrom (talk) 20:04, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know! I find SuggestBot really useful. I appreciate all the work you do with it. Chevymontecarlo 18:11, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 10:49, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you

Hello, I just wanted to say a quick thank you for looking at my page about the author, 'Guy Saville'. I understand your point about references, but I couldn't seem to get any more on there - I have both outside pages and ones within Wikipedia. I think I'll try the live help people - thanks again, have a great weekend, Carlettamarie (talk) 17:58, 5 February 2011 (UTC)Carlie[reply]

That's a good idea. The people on the IRC live help chat are very helpful. Chevymontecarlo 08:31, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline of Spanish history (Hispania)

Hello Chevy. Thanks for your reply. I followed your suggestion and added references to my article. Please see it here. Alcides Pinto (talk) 08:06, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job! The article is certainly sourced better than it was. Chevymontecarlo 16:18, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request to mentor a student

Hi, I'm a Campus Ambassador in the Public Policy Initiative and found your name at Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Public Policy/Online Ambassadors and was wondering whether you'd be up for mentoring User:Simone8855, one of the students for Prof Gen's Environmental Policy class. I'll watch this page. Thanks! Dcoetzee 22:22, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'd be okay with that. I would be happy to help whenever I get the chance. I've posted a 'welcome' message on the user's talk page. Chevymontecarlo 16:19, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me with international versions of my page- Infront Sports & Media?

Happy new year. Following your help in 2010, I wanted to connect to see if you can advise on publishing multiple language versions of the content on the Infront Sports & Media page? As an international company it is of interest to a number of countries to have this as a reference on Wikipedia and I have noticed that there is a German page which has information on it that is not 100%. I would like to either link to the English version so that the information offered is consistent (not sure if there is an automated translation for German readers) or if in order to achieve this I have to translate for myself and individually create the pages from scratch in the way I did with the current page?

Also I was concerned about all my references being in English - will this be sufficient to link to from a German text for example? I would also want to create Italian, Spanish and probably French versions.

Many thanks for your help / guidance (Clnatinfront (talk) 15:38, 10 February 2011 (UTC))[reply]

Well, if you wanted to create separate versions of your article for each language you'll have to create them individually on their respective versions of Wikipedia first, or translate them then create the separate articles. A link on the German Wikipedia, for example, to the English article on the English Wikipedia is not sufficient.
I'm not sure whether the English references will be that much of an issue but it's probably something you might want to discuss or highlight with another user or users, perhaps on the help desk. You can add links to the other versions of your article on separate versions of Wikipedia; there is a specific template you can use but I'm not sure; again might be something you'll want to ask about on the help desk. Best of luck! Chevymontecarlo 17:49, 10 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Ambassador Program Newsletter: 13 February 2011

This is the second issue of the Wikipedia Ambassador Program Newsletter, with details about what's going on right now and where help is needed.

  • Userboxes and profiles - Add an ambassador userbox to your page, and make sure you've added your mentor profile!
  • Be a coordinating ambassador - Pick and class and make sure no students fall through the cracks.
  • New screencasts - Short videos on watchlists and a number of other topics may be useful to students.
  • Updates from Campus Ambassadors - Ambassadors are starting to report on classroom experiences, both on-wiki and on the Google Group.
  • Other news - There's a new on-wiki application for being an Online Ambassador, and Editing Friday #2 is today!
  • Things you can do - This is just a sample; if you're eager for something to do, there's plenty more.
