Rollback revoked

I have disabled rollback privileges on this account after continued misuse of rollback on User talk:Raji ect after warning. Toddst1 (talk) 05:45, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another edit war

Your edit war on Delhi is another reason that I strongly oppose your request for rollback. You clearly have no business with the privilege and are prone to edit wars. Toddst1 (talk) 06:38, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war on Delhi? An IP reinstated what SpacemanSpiff had reverted. I reverted that asking them to discuss on talk page. As I told you in the above section, I did not even request for rollback, I just explained what happened. Thanks, Abhishek Talk to me 06:46, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make it something other than an edit war. I think you need to review our polices on WP:EW and WP:Vandalism as you seem to be consistently misapplying them. Toddst1 (talk) 16:05, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Chennai Airport

Abhishek, Please find the link from where I have taken the datas. www.aai.aero/chennai/aboutus.jsp. It is from the AAI website only. Just I have cut and paste it in the appropriate place. The bomb blast details are already available in the reference. You can verify. Hope the datas will be included again. Muralirs (talk) 13:25, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll look into it. Abhishek Talk to me 13:29, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of telugu unicode text from the Bellary Article

Hi, Please explain why you removed the telugu unicode text from the Bellary page, but kept kannada text? I have read the WP:MOS, which has no relevant guidelines on this particular aspect. To me, it makes sense to remove kannada unicode text as well, as the pronunciation sound bite is already presented in the file. Shree (talk) 14:40, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:MOS, the title of any article should only be in English. But if the article belongs to a non-English speaking region, then we only list the title in the official language of that region. Bellary is in Karnataka and Kannada is the official language of Bellary, hence no Telugu title. So kindly stop reinstating the same. Thanks, Abhishek Talk to me 14:43, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with your reasoning - will keep the page as is. Apologies, but I had to ask you this question, as I've grown tired of dealing with Kannada fanatics vandalizing the page without adding an iota of valid content to the page. However, there is no rule to be found on the issue of non-English speaking regions having a supplementary native Unicode name added to the title/opening lines. Please post me a link to the rule if you can find it - to me it only appears to be a convention rather than a written guideline. Shree (talk) 14:55, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If you think I'm a Kannada fanatic, you may walk out of my talk page. FYI, I also edit articles of other states and revert if anyone has added a title in a language other than the official language of that state. Abhishek Talk to me 15:00, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
If I thought you were one of those, I would not have been discussing with you. This issue is now closed. Since you are enthusiastic about Karnataka related articles, I invite you to help reorganize the Bellary page, as it has grown haphazardly over the years. Thanks in advance. Shree (talk) 15:11, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My enthusiasm in general is on Airline and Airport article of India. But I do edit some towns and cities of Karnataka as I know only about Karnataka's towns and cities.Abhishek Talk to me 15:16, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NACIL/Air India

Hi, I see that you reverted my edits to the Air India page. I think you didn't realize that NACIL has now been changed to Air India, so all NACIL destinations are now Air India destinations. There is no more NACIL, only Air India. Hence all info on the Air India page and the Air India destinations page should include info that was on the Nacil and Nacil destinations page since Nacil=Air India. Hope you understand. Nikkul (talk) 21:48, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NACIL has been renamed Air India limited which is a holding company for AI, IC, CD and IX and not an airline by itself. Besides you should not be goining against the consensus at Talk:Air India destinations#Merge discussion. So kindly do not reinstate the same. And you may want to go through some other airline articles of the world and also WP:AIRLINE.Abhishek Talk to me 01:27, 23 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Meat Puppets

Users DileepKS69, Bijuts, Moutainwhiskey, Arunvarmaother and some anonymous IPs are all from a forum called SkyscraperCity (See the talk page of Dileep). There they are glorifying Kochi, defaming other cities (esp Trivandrum), and engaged in online wars. They all became active in wiki since Nov/December 2010 and are constantly engaged in edit wars. You may see it from their talk pages or the article talk pages(Talk:Kochi#Neutral_Point_of_View and Talk:Thiruvananthapuram#Blind_Reverts). So, I request you to please watch their contributions. --Samaleks (talk) 11:18, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Air India Express HQ

It was shifted today. To confirm visit http://expressbuzz.com/finance/air-india-express-hq-inaugurated-at-kochi/251842.html. Company websites normally slow in updating as usual.

--Bijuts (talk) 14:51, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I never look at the airline websites for such updates, I had googled and found many results still with the old news IX to shift base to Kochi. Anyways you have a source here that shows it has already been shifted. I would appreciate if you add this source to the article at the infobox. Cheers! .JS Pages

By mistake i created "User:Bijuts/vector.js". How it will be deleted?

--Bijuts (talk) 10:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Place this tag: {{db-u1}} on the page and an admin will delete it within 24 hours. Abhishek Talk to me 00:01, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Abhishek --Bijuts (talk) 04:54, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Users keep insisting that 9W flies DEL-JFK but 9W doesn't do that route. They do MAA-BRU-JFK...i have removed it since JFK requires a flight number and aircraft change at BRU. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 07:03, 3 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. The page is on my watchlist. Will revert if any users add the same. Cheers! Abhishek Talk to me 00:58, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Twinkle abuse

You recently reverted this edit claiming you were undoing WP:Vandalism. That edit in no way appears to be vandalism and you are misusing twinkle. Given your previous problems with rollback, I am revoking your twinkle privileges as you continue to misuse rollback (this time via TW). Toddst1 (talk) 01:18, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot. I know you are always against me. When someone deliberately adds wrong info, it is vandalism. You are reacting like as if I had a long history of misusing rollback. As I said previously, I had not realised that I had undone those edits on the user's talk page and had continued to explain something to him. Anyways, I hope you are happy with what you have done! There are several editors out there who value my edits. So I don't care what you believe and do. Now I would say that you are definitely misusing your admin previledges! And yes, you are very rude to editors you block (me definitely). Besides I do see you were taken up at ANI.Abhishek Talk to me 14:59, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tiruchirapalli Airport Destination

Kindly check Tiruchirapalli Airport Destinations. I think the reference for Jet Airways to Hyderabad is invalid. It is a fare chart. There are several other routes mentioned in that chart which are not exist.Amdmustafa (talk) 15:46, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User:SQ412

Can you keep an eye on this user? He continues to remove Air India Regional as you have explained that their code is still in use. Also CD was also removed at DEL and BOM airport pages. Thanks! Snoozlepet (talk) 06:17, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm watching him. Appararently he's continuing to add the same. Abhishek Talk to me 16:26, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Latest revision as of 14:27, 3 January 2011

Hi,

Seem that you have undone the changes saying that Malayalam is not the official language of the entire country, so kindly do not make such additions. As far as I know Hindi is also not an official language of India. It is only one of the 14 languages. while English is recognized as official language. So in the same spirit I would be happy if you remove the Air-India name in Hindi also from the wiki.

Sorry for the late reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jineshgopinathan (talkcontribs) 09:52, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry man, not for argument, One more request, all the informations given in the Kerala RTC page is not correct and most of the things are wrong as same as in official website. Airport Statistics

Chennai airport

Dear Abhishek,

Every AAI periodical statics data shows the rankings of airports are same. No major changes in major airports. You can check the last 3years data. I think the sentence "For the period of Apr–Nov 2010, it was the" can be remove? What about

--Bijuts (talk) 11:47, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No reply from you?

If you believe so, then please start a discussion on the same. You should not be going against the concensus. Abhishek Talk to me 05:22, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus is not permanent. will change accordingly. Did you check last 3year data. Its enough to change.

--Bijuts (talk) 07:23, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Biju, we added the time duration, precisely because of conflicting claims from various sources and articles. We arrived at this because people were comparing statistics of different time periods and arriving at their own conclusions, the presence of a time period reduces the possibility of such errors. I strongly suggest against removing the timeperiod. Else we will be having the same arguments all over again. (i think the relevant discussion is archived in chennai airport talk page) --Sodabottle (talk) 07:58, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Sodabottle. If you think consensus has to change accordingly, then why are you hesitating to start a discussion on the same. You just can't say that consensus is not permanent and remove/add things BLINDLY. Abhishek Talk to me 10:06, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are the one doing things BLINDLY. I already lve a mesge to you before editing. You think 3yrs data is not adequate?

--Bijuts (talk) 10:12, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense. You just can't send a message to me and then start removing thing as per your own will and wish. You have to discuss the same on the relevant talk pages. Anyways, we are done talking here. Abhishek Talk to me 10:17, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not doing anythings in wiki as per my own wish like you. Check these COK talk page.....

FlyMe - new maldivian airline

Please check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlyMe_%28Maldivian_Airline%29

The aircraft they'll be using is I-ADLQ (future 8Q-VAQ). Here are some photos of the aircraft in FlyMe livery. (Facebook link) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 8qblog (talkcontribs) 04:16, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you removed the CSD from the article FlyMe (Maldivian Airline). Your reasoning is not a valid reason to remove tag. The article was tagged because it did not meet the Wikipedia defined criteria for notability, not for any of the reasons you mentioned in your edit summary. I suggest you re-read notability and WP:GNG and acquaint yourself with the criteria for establishing notability and WP:CSD to review the Speedy Deletion process. My best to you. ttonyb (talk) 16:15, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I truly believe that since the airline has just been founded (mentioned in the source provided by the creator) and is yet to begin its operations, there will be enough scope for its improvement in the near future. The airline has very few google hits since it has just been established. It should definitely get several hits once it commences its operation. Cheers!Abhishek Talk to me 16:22, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Again, none of this is part of the criteria for inclusion into Wikipedia. There is no guarantee the airline will be notable and therefore one should wait until there is significant coverage to include it as an article. Wikipedia is for companies that can demonstrate Wikipedia based notability, not for speculation. I again encourage you to familiarize yourself with Wikipedia guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 17:08, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Tony, this airline is real, and not based on speculation. I do not understand how you label it as insignificant. --8qblog (talk) 03:15, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Where did I say this company is not real? Unless there are adequate references the company fails WP:COMPANY. Also, where did I say the company is insignificant? Please do not incorrectly infer or misquote my comments. ttonyb (talk) 03:24, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
ttonyb, I'm very well aware of the above two policies. The reason I contested the CSD was that the article has scope to be improved and since it has just been founded, it may have very few sources regarding. But I feel once it begins operations, it will not only have sufficient sources but also will enough scope to be expanded. 8qblog, non-notable company does not mean that the company is non-notable or does not exist. It means that the article has failed to establish its notability. Abhishek Talk to me 10:00, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Air India Express Flight 812

Just a quick question, why was the image removed from the box and just left for the article? -- DQ (t) (e) 02:31, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The image is just ground full of rubble. An aircraft image would any day look better in the info box. Abhishek Talk to me 15:33, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm...good point, but now someone has removed it completely saying it was the wrong aircraft. I will look into that later. -- DQ (t) (e) 00:37, 19 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on Superfast Mail/Express. I disagree with the speedy deletion of Superfast Mail/Expressbecause this is not an article about a real person, individual animal(s), organization or web content.. You should therefore not retag Superfast Mail/Express for speedy deletion. You are, of course, free to tag the article with {{prod}} or nominate it at WP:AFD. Re: Bandaranaike International Airport

Hi, I totally see what you're talking about. I don't know if it's a problem with all airport/airline articles, but I always see anons adding "future" unconfirmed destinations to the BIA/SriLankan articles. Do you know if there's a standard way of dealing with that? Semi-protection or an edit notice maybe? --snowolfD4 ( talk / @ ) 22:17, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
