The orange ones have 0.60mm....the red ones are .50mm.... :) I guess, the .60's are meant.

wot about a pic actually of him???

Citation needed

Found the reference to Gary Lightbody discussing his infidelity and writing the songs for Eyes Open...it was in an interview published in the Times (UK) 4-21-06. The article is no longer available online, but the full text of the article can be found here: http://www.snowpatrol.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=493412&sid=30c94a7dd306bcc99a7ca7d70d4ff609 Mkim0678 12:37, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

I reverted Derry Boi's alteration to Lightbody's nationality, back to Northern Irish (from Irish) on the basis that he's from NI, attended a 'prod/unionist' school and has spent a lot of his adult life in Scotland. Hence he appears to see himself as more 6-county than 32-county. Trenwith 18:18, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

the Irish Republic flag

I'm no Snow Patrol fan, but I'm from Glasgow...so I know how contentious this kind of thing can be. Technically, Bangor is in Ulster, so technically should have the Union Jack. As far as I know, Lightbody has never expressed any Republican tendencies.

I'm not willing to wade into this argument other than to mention that being from Ulster does not make one British. Don't be so ignorant!Play Brian Moore (talk) 13:46, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

According to magazine interviews he regards himself as Irish (Derry Boi 09:59, 4 June 2007 (UTC))[reply]

So what? I'm Irish too. It doesn't stop me being more specifically Northern Irish. Stop trying to make some kind of WP:POINT - Wikipedia is not a soapbox. --Mal 21:16, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belfast or Bangor?

I was given to understand that Lightbody was from Bangor. Then I read this article today, which claims he was thankful for "growing up in Belfast". It could be that he lived in Bangor from when he was born, then moved to Belfast of course. But it should definately be clarified, considering the intro states he was born in Bangor (though, unless he was a home birth, there are no maternity hospitals in Bangor, so..), and later the article says, "fellow student Mark McClelland, also from Belfast." --Mal 21:22, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Born in Bangor but raised in Belfast it seems. Stu ’Bout ye! 08:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cheers Stu - I'm going to add that as a source.. its a good website anyhow. Presumably of course, he would actually have been born in Newtownards or somwhere.. ;) --Mal 09:54, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Morrison

I've addeed Mike Morrison as a founding member of Snow Patrol (then known as Shrug) as he was the original drummer. please see discussion on the main Snow Patrol page.
