Stephanie "Steffy" Forrester is a fictional character on the American CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. She is the beautiful, scheming, seductive daughter of Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes Forrester and the twin sister of Phoebe. The character is currently played by Canadian actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who joined the cast on June 4, 2008. The scenes below are found at YouTube.com.

    Background

Steffy, named after her paternal grandmother Stephanie, was born to Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes Forrester on September 21, 1999, along with her fraternal twin sister Phoebe who was born a few minutes after Steffy. Their mother suffered from tuberculosis during the pregnancy, but survived the complicated delivery. Ridge, her father, was actually the son of businessman Massimo Marone after Stephanie, her grandmother, thought that Eric was the father. After Eric discovered the truth many years later he still considered Ridge as his son.

    Storylines

Ridge and Taylor/Ridge and Brooke/Steffy and growing pains

In February 2001, Ridge and Taylor took the twins and their older brother Thomas to Saint Thomas where they renewed their wedding vows. Later the family, along with the babysitter Catherine, took a boat trip, and two-year-old Steffy fell overboard during stormy weather and was presumed eaten by sharks. However, Steffy turned up weeks later at Morgan DeWitt's house. Morgan, an old flame of Ridge's who desperately wanted to have his child, had kidnapped her and was holding her captive. Taylor grew suspicious of Morgan and was shocked to discover Steffy in her house. As Taylor was about to take her daughter home, Morgan returned and held them both captive.Ridge eventually saved his wife and child by driving his car through Morgan's house as she was about to shoot Taylor. Morgan was eventually committed to a psychiatric institution.

Later when Taylor was presumed dead after being shot by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), Steffy and her siblings were raised by Ridge and Brooke in a scandal-free home. They did not go to boarding school after Taylor's death but were raised by Bridget and Brooke who took turns taking care of the children's needs before Ridge and Brooke decided to marry. However, during their teenage years they went to boarding school and spent several fun times at home with Ridge and Brooke during the vacation holidays which Hope and Steffy have attested to along with Phoebe and Thomas.

According to YouTube videos Steffy, Thomas and Phoebe were staying with Ridge and Brooke as a family and were present when their mother returned from the dead. It only showed them going to boarding school after Taylor returned from the dead. But before that time they primarily went to regular high school and studied while living with Ridge and Brooke. Steffy and Phoebe were the age of five when their mother died and Thomas was nine years old. Taylor's father refused to accept Brooke at the funeral and blamed her for Taylor's death. Thomas started drinking but got help and the family became one big happy family. They were a happy family for approximately seven years during the teenage years and Thomas started dating Amber. After it was discovered that Taylor was actually alive, the twins and their brother Thomas were tearfully reunited with their mother. Taylor married Ridge again due to Stephanie having a fake heart attack to keep Brooke out of the picture.

At Ridge's request Steffy returned to California. She started working in the shipping and receiving department of Forrester Creations, willing to work her way up the way her father had. On her first day, she met Donna Logan's son Marcus Walton and explained the personalities of all the Forresters, not revealing her heritage to him. Eventually, Steffy was enlisted by her troublesome great-aunt, Pamela, to check into Marcus' background, discovering that his mother is in fact Donna Logan. Steffy promised Marcus to keep his maternity a secret, but this conversation was overheard by her sister Phoebe. Phoebe later revealed this to their father. This slightly strained relations between her, Phoebe and Ridge. Phoebe and Ridge insisted that Steffy stay clear of Marcus, because his mother is Ridge's enemy but Steffy, for once acting on her own heart, didn't hold the fact that Donna was his mother against him.

Despite this, however, Steffy may find her loyalties divided once she discovers that her father, her Uncle Thorne and her Aunt Felicia were fired by her spiteful step-grandmother, Donna Forrester, acting as Eric's power of attorney. This could also change the relationship between Marcus and Steffy, as he is now her boss. Justifiably, Steffy was livid with Marcus over his mother's heavy-handed antics, although he is trying to convince her that he had no idea she was pulling the stunts that she was pulling. The two tried to find something incriminating on Owen Knight, Donna's new assistant, but they could find nothing. Steffy was understandably upset that Donna was pulling the strings at her family's company, but Marcus calmed her down with a kiss, their second as a couple. Marcus finally convinced Donna to fire the untrustworthy Owen, and in a celebratory mood, he and Steffy drove to the beach for a day of fun in a BMW X5.

We really don't know much about Steffy's romance life prior to Ridge divorcing Taylor after the James adultery reveal when Steffy was the age of 18 because she went off abroad to college in England. Her love or sex life hasn't been revealed and when she had an affair with Rick she never told him she was a virgin unlike her sister Phoebe who wanted to wait since she was one and told him she'd tell him when she was ready. However, many assumed she was one because Rick took special care to place roses on the bed and several candles as though he was trying to make it special for her. But she never stated it was her first time. When Eric announced that Rick was the new vice-president of the company. She became really upset over Phoebe's death, who was tragically killed in a car accident on the night of her father's wedding rehearsal dinner. During the night, her twin's sense let her know something was dreadfully wrong, and then she realized from her father's grief, that she had lost her twin sister. After seeing her sister's corpse in the hospital morgue, Steffy almost injured herself by trying to reconnect with her. Ridge gently talked her down, and comforted her as she sobbed and nervously called 911.

She and Rick then found out that they were indeed attracted to one another. Eventually she and Rick were engaged. She wanted to marry Rick (without the parents finding out). Eventually though, Steffy found out that his words of love were real, as her mother, Taylor, had her booked in for a 30-minute private therapy session. She was so angered and so embarrassed at the words that he had said about her and her father, which were quite honest, that she accepted an engagement ring & Rick proposed to Steffy if she wanted to marry him & she said "Yes!" She then moved out of the beach house, and back in with her mother. This helped bond her with her family once more & she travels to work in a BMW X5. She also agrees to become a model for Forrester Creations as her first job.

Rick and Steffy eventually break up after Ridge proves to Steffy that Rick was using Steffy to get back at Ridge. Steffy flirts with Owen Knight who is currently married to Jackie Marone. She soon turns her attention to Bill Spencer, Jr., who is now married to Katie Logan.

    Ambition/Steffy wants Bill Spencer

Steffy worked along with her father and Eric Forrester to bring Bill Spencer, Jr. down by ruining the next fashion show by displaying designs from the '80s. Katie Logan Spencer revealed the plan to Bill after she pressured Brooke, her sister, to be honest about what her husband and his father were doing. Bill compared Donna Forrester and Brooke Forrester to having the nature of tramps and accused them of doing nothing for the company even though Brooke came up with the "Belief" Formula and had been CEO for years that made the company a success.

After Bill left, Steffy agreed with him and called Brooke and Donna tramps also, and stated that the company was doing well as long as Stephanie Forrester, her grandmother, was there helping to run the company. She was sick and tired of the Logan influence and hated the Logans. Steffy also stated before they met Bill in his office that Katie wasn't even his type, and she didn't know what he even saw in her.

This news came as a shock to the Forresters. Katie confronted Bill on the way he treated her sisters and walked out on him in the rain after he stated that he wanted her to have nothing to do with her sisters, Brooke and Donna. Steffy then came by and even though he made it clear that he saw her as a little girl and wasn't interested in her, he planted a kiss on her once he received a text message from Katie stating she was staying with her sisters for the night. After he kissed Steffy he failed to see the last part of Katie's text message: "I love you." Later during another argument Katie again walked out on Bill after Bill had a lunch with Steffy, then Steffy drops by Bill's house again and they almost have sex, but when Katie arrives at the house they stop and Steffy steals Katie's ring (which she left behind during their previous argument), while Bill is distracted with Katie and then she blackmails Bill Spencer into letting her family have their company back, after an unsuccessful counter offer requesting him to leave Katie for her Bill refuses. Telling her he loves his wife. Steffy tells him Katie's lucky to have someone like him. Therefore, due to Bill's rejections of her sexual advances and request to leave Katie, she retrieves Forrester Creations company back, that she tricked Bill into letting Ridge, Eric, Taylor & Stephanie become the owners of the company, even though she told him he was selling it to a trust company called Ridge Eric Sustainable Trust, even after getting the company back she vowed to push Brooke, Donna & Hope Logan out of Forrester Creations.

    Steffy recreates the Taylor/Brooke feud

Steffy becomes enamored with Oliver Jones, her stepfather Whip's cousin. And she vows to Stephanie to be rid of the Logans for good. Stephanie agrees with her but urges her not to go after them at the time since Bridget lost her baby, due to her surrogate's collapse. Steffy appears to be sympathetic until she catches Oliver looking at a video tape of Bridget & Owen Knight having pity sex. She makes the statement that Bridget is just like her mother Brooke. She attempts to seduce and cajole Oliver out of the tape and away from Hope. Asking him why does he choose Hope over her. Oliver tells her that he knows she has an agenda to rid Forrester Creations of the Logans and wants no part of her. She claims to be damaged goods due to her former fiancee (Brooke Logan's son) Rick Forrester. Rick said horrible things about Steffy to Ridge and admitted that he just used her. Oliver tells her he likes Hope and really cares for her. Steffy seduces Oliver to kiss her and Hope catches them. Oliver runs after her and agrees to go to a High School Dance with her which Steffy speaks negative about. She then tells him the Logans are bad news and he needs to stay away from Hope and all of them. She later tells her mother that Hope is no threat. She can get Oliver just like that. And she decides to ruin Hope's dance by delaying Oliver from going to it. However, Oliver arrives later due to a phone call from her dad.

    Steffy wants Oliver

Steffy makes a play for Hope's boyfriend and she becomes the bridesmaid while Oliver becomes best man to Whip foreshadowing that Steffy and Oliver will become a couple after she's finished her manipulative games leaving Hope out in the cold which is where all of the Logans belong. She tells Thomas (states that she only wants Oliver because Hope wants him) that she truly has feelings for him and it's not all about the Logans. And that she'll have him in the end. Eventually. It remains to be seen if Steffy really truly cares about Oliver or if she's just using him to hurt Hope because of who her mother is. Steffy (encouraged by Taylor and Stephanie) challenges Brooke by becoming the new model for "Brooke's Bedroom." Stephanie and Taylor imply that Brooke is becoming too old and they need new blood. Stephanie also throws it up in Brooke's face that she has no opinion on what they do with the line since she no longer owns any parts of the company. Steffy appears in Oliver's bedroom in a black Victoria Secret lingerie number with her hair down and straddles Oliver sitting on his crouch as she kisses on him and whispers in his ears sweet nothings. Steffy promises Oliver wealth and prestige if he leaves Hope and sleeps with her and become a couple with her. Oliver notes that he's aware of her attempt to destroy the Logans and he refuses to capitulate to her advances. Later Oliver gives Hope a necklace donning half hearts and recommits himself to Hope and kisses her telling her he's willing to wait for her.

    Future Ho/Hope Logan

Steffy along with her aunt Pam sabotaged Hope's debut as a model for the "Hope for the Future" campaign. She had her aunt Pam to unplug part of the phrase which displayed "Future Ho" to the audience. Hope looked like a deer in headlights but when she stared out in the audience at Oliver who smiled and gave her an encouraging look Hope was able to weather the storm and tell the audience that her campaign was about Hope for the future in the sense of a better tomorrow and that it was her generation that was going to accomplish it. The crowd loved it and Steffy and Pam's shoulders slumped with disappointment. Hope made it a point to let everyone know who was responsible for the fiasco when she invited her stepsister Steffy to come out on stage. And she thanked her for the event. Ridge was livid regarding the fiasco and fired her off of the campaign due to her purposeful sabotage of the campaign. She also told Hope that she should have never been born since she was the product of an illicit affair.

Steffy blackmails Oliver to leave Hope

Steffy watched a video from Hope's graduation party and found out, with the help of Marcus, that Brooke and Oliver had sex. Steffy deduces that Oliver unknowingly had sex with Brooke and that Brooke unknowingly had sex with him as well. Brooke later told Steffy that she would leave the company if Steffy keeps quiet, but Steffy also demands that Hope goes to college, and for Oliver to dump Hope, and to try and date her. There is doubt that she will succeed because of her continued failure in trying to get Oliver to leave Hope and be her boyfriend because even though he finds her attention flattering, he is put off by her aggressiveness.

Steffy acknowledges she never loved Rick but was using him

A little before Ridge arrives in her office that was once her ex-fiancee's, (Brooke's son) Rick asks her if she's attacking his mother and Hope to get back at him and she acknowledges that she only slept with him because she just wanted to take something from his mother, which leaves him stunned and angry. And she was moving on to bigger things and didn't wish to play any more childish games. Revealing the fact that both Rick and Steffy were using each other to ruin Brooke and Ridge's marriage. After that didn't work then she made it her goal to destroy the marriage by any means necessary.

Ridge Castigates Steffy for Blackmailing his wife

Unfortunately for Steffy, her father Ridge now knows what happened between his wife and Oliver and has forgiven Brooke for it, understanding that it was simply an honest mistake. Ridge tells her that he understands Brooke's irresponsibility at her daughter's party, but that the blackmailing stops here. He demands Steffy to do a tribute in honor of Brooke and the many contributions she's made to the company over the years. Steffy unwillingly does it but it is tampered with by Liam who picked up a recording Steffy and Ridge had discussing Brooke's mistake the night of the prom. Steffy plays the video at the tribute and the voice recording is heard everywhere. Hope runs away and goes to Bridget but decides to stay with Stephanie and Taylor, who encourage her to hate her mother and bring up her past sins continuously. In the process Oliver will have a friend from American Idol, Jason Castro, to serenade her hoping to win her back to him again.

Ridge ends up firing Steffy from Forrester Creations because he believes, based on her previous blackmailing attempts and her hatred of her stepmother, that she played the tampered tape on purpose with intent to embarrass Brooke.

Taylor gives Steffy all of her stock

Taylor gives Steffy 25% of her stock and leaves Thomas out of it saying she trusts her daughter to give him his part. She believes it will allow her father to rehire her again to work in the company. She tells her what she wants most from her father is her trust. This implies that she wants the trust so she can sabotage Brooke again just as her grandmother (Stephanie) has used her son's trust to break the couple up on numerous occasions before when they were younger.

    I am not a Bully!

Steffy tells her mother that her father thinks she's a bully and she's not. And she's going to prove it to him by having Liam and another gentlemen, the computer technicians to prove her father wrong. However, the other technician informed her that he couldn't find a flaw in the computer system. Steffy is angered and confused and Liam decides to stay and continue to help her. Meanwhile she speaks to Taylor and they blame Brooke for what happened saying she's just a walking scandal. Even though this is the first time since being married to Ridge in twenty years Brooke has been in a scandal and the second time the incident has occurred. Taylor tells her now you see what I've had to deal with the majority of my life despite the fact that she has proven herself over & over again through her words & actions not to be the best role model for Steffy.

    Liam tampered with the tribute

Determined to find the culprit responsible for tampering with her granddaughter's computer Stephanie starts to investigate those connected to the computer and confronts Liam in the guest room where Hope is staying. She questions him on what he does with the computers and on who he really works for after noticing his Spencer Publication id on the kitchen counter. She starts to berate and yell at him demanding to know if he set her granddaughter up at the tribute. He denies it, but she slaps him three times. She forces him to come to Ridge's office and tell the truth. He tells them that Justin, Bill's right hand man is the one who tampered with the tribute and not him. Ridge and Stephanie still blame him for the fiasco and for not speaking up and Ridge draws his fist back in an attempt to punch him out when he says. "Please don't hit me! I'm your son." Stephanie looks shocked as she asks him, "What did you just say?" He looks at Ridge who has his fist still held up in mid-air as he looks at him in the eyes and says, "I said. I'm your son."

It's later revealed that Bill Spencer, Jr. is Liam's father, not Ridge.

    Ridge asks Steffy for Forgiveness

Liam explains to Ridge that he assumed a Forrester was his father since his mother who Ridge did not know once worked there as a model. Thorne comes in wanting to escort him out but Ridge told him he'd handle it. He punches him since he's not his son and goes to Bill Spencer's house to find Steffy there threatening to sell her shares to Bill due to her feeling like her dad had rejected her. He pleads with her to come home and apologizes to her. She goes and he warns Bill to stay away from his daughter.

Steffy uses her rare moment of innocence to emotionally blackmail her father

She tells him she wants Brooke banished from the company and nothing has still changed. If he wants her to return he must banish his wife. Ridge tries to talk some sense into her to no avail. She gets her wish and she and Stephanie taunt Brooke about her being back at work and Brooke is out again. Steffy tells her father that as long as she has Ridge's love and respect he won't ever have to worry about her selling her shares to Bill Spencer.

    You've created a Monster

A furious Thomas lashes out at his mother Taylor for creating a monster out of Steffy by giving her all of his stock and accuses Steffy of becoming a tyrant. He clearly draws the line between the both of them when he tells her "I want to be clear. I am completely against getting rid of Brooke." The comment stuns everyone as he accuses Steffy of guilt tripping their father and "power elbowing" Brooke. And he states he refuses to be a part of the whole sordid mess. Steffy accuses her brother of just being jealous because all of the stock was given to her and not him, but Thomas states that it's her methods that he's not going along with since dismissing Brooke would cause more attention to be brought to the situation as opposed to dismissed. Thomas also believes the scandal will die down as it has done before in the past but bringing Brooke back in the forefront will only cause the scandal to become much more of a focused topic in the media.

Steffy is hurt by her brother's words even though she knows he's telling the truth.

    Ridge was a good Father

An angry Thomas accuses Steffy of using psychology and manipulative tricks regarding Ridge being a bad father and abandoning them when they were young grown adults. He states that Ridge was a good father who loved them very much and never neglected them as children or teenagers. He also tells her how Brooke has contributed more to the company then Steffy ever has. He then tells his sister, "Couples get divorced! Get over it!" He accuses her of using their mother Taylor and Stephanie's hatred against Brooke for taking over the company and wants to know why the blood related Forresters such as Thorne or Felicia aren't present for the meeting. He also demands to know why she gets such a special privilege of being the suffering one telling her that they've all suffered. He emphasizes that their father is in charge, not her. Thomas also calls Steffy out on her hypocrisy regarding her judgmental attitude against Brooke seeing that she got the company back by trying to seduce Bill Spencer, Jr. In an attempt to keep peace in the company Ridge decides to let his wife go from the company which Brooke agrees to do so he can get his relationship with Steffy back on a positive track.

Liam wants Hope/Now Steffy wants Liam/Oliver who?

Steffy announces to Taylor that she is now interested in Liam since he is now the new ticket in town since he's Bill Spencer's son. And even though she used to see him as a geek, since Hope is dating him now she finds him hot as well. Taylor questions her about her previous attraction for Oliver which she claims has faded and now she wants Liam who is dating Hope. Taylor starts to question her daughter on her reasons for going after another one of Hope's boyfriends but allows her hatred for Brooke, Hope's mother, to take over when she comes over and encourages her to tell Steffy to stop the childish games of her going after Hope's boyfriends. Taylor ignores Brooke and tells her that Steffy can do what she wants to do and walks out as Steffy smiles and laughs about it. Later Steffy goes to the coffee house and sees Liam kissing Hope as she declares, "You won't get him that easily. Not without a little competition first." And she chuckles to herself again.

Steffy returns from Paris and discovers a murder plot against Amber

Steffy returns from Paris to find out that Amber Moore is pregnant with allegedly with Liam Cooper's baby. On March 3rd, Steffy saves Amber's life from the cliff after finding Amber's cell phone and she sees Bill Spencer, who tells her to go home. Later Steffy confronts Bill for attempting to kill Amber, and later she asks to be his confidant.

Steffy wants Bill and makes her move

Steffy uses this time to bond with Bill by crying tears and telling him he'll get through this anger he has with Amber by leaning on her. And they'll get through this together. Donna arrives to Katie's home and tells her that Steffy was in Bill's office and she should be concerned about her marriage which Katie isn't. Steffy's mother Taylor takes up for her daughter by telling her ex-husband Ridge that Katie doesn't have as strong a bond with Bill as Steffy does and doesn't understand him even though Katie and Bill dated and met each other first before marrying. Bill's marriage becomes in jeopardy due to him confiding his anger against Amber to Steffy and shutting Katie his wife out emotionally. Their marriage becomes fractured further as Katie walks in to see Steffy smiling in a seductive manner sitting on Bill's desk with her legs slightly ajar wearing a brown coat and blue dress. She hears them discussing his attempt to kill Amber. Katie let's Bill have it over his attempt to kill Amber and on his inability to confide in her but chose instead to confide in his concubine referring to Steffy. So she calls on an old friend Nick and asks if she can stay on the Shady Marlin. Bill asks her if she's leaving him? And she says no. But if you need advice or a shoulder to lean on well then just call Steffy. Besides that's what she wants. Bill and Katie seek marriage counseling from Taylor, Steffy's mother. Steffy continues to flirt with Bill. During a search for Steffy's stepmother and her brother, Bill and Steffy spend more and more time to together. Due to his help, the Forrester's are able to find Brooke and Thomas. After a short call with her brother, Steffy thanks Bill and says: "I love you". Bill immediately responds and says: "I love you too!".
