Shoutmon (シャウトモン, Shautomon) is a fictional character from the Digimon media franchise. He is the Digimon partner of Taiki Kudo and a main character in the Digimon Xros Wars anime series. Shoutmon is a ferocious Digimon with extremely high aggressiveness due to hot-blooded enthusiasm, yet friendly towards his comrades. He enjoys singing and wields a microphone for leisure and to help in combat, his chances of winning depending on the amount of passion he has.[1][2][3]
Description
Shoutmon appears as a small, red dragon with a spiky mouth. He wears headphones around his ears, and his joints appear to be held together by screws.
Appearance
Shoutmon is a resident of the Village of Smiles with a desire to become the Digimon King so he can protect everyone in the Green Zone. Heavily wounded during battle against the Green Zone's Bagra Army faction under MadLeomon, Shoutmon manages to receive aid from Taiki as he, Akari, and Zenjiro are drawn to the Digital World. Eventually, the two work together in defeating MadLeomon and founded Xros Heart before learning of the Code Crowns that could fulfill Shoutmon's dream and other groups with human general. However, once all Code Crowns are gathered in one place , Bagramon makes his move and causes a dimensional rift to open to suck Taiki and Shoutmon in along with Akari and Zenjiro.
The warp leads back to the Real World, and Shoutmon shrank during the transfer he spent a day in the real world before he and his human friends are attacked by Tactimon while he regained his normal size. Digivolving to OmegaShoutmon and defeating Tactimon, Shoutmon manages to return to the Digital World with Taiki. Upon their re-entry, Shoutmon finds that Bagramon warped and rebuilt the Digital World in his image with the Seven Death Generals placed in charge over the seven lands. To combat them, Shoutmon and Xros Heart join forces with Blue Flare.

The name "Shoutmon" refers only to the usual form of this Digimon. Throughout the series, Shoutmon gains the ability to Digivolve into a more powerful form with a different name and special attack. However, the Rookie level is his preferred form. Shoutmon ✕2The "Enhanced-armor Mode" of Ballistamon, who excels in defense, confers physical strength and defense several times over to itself by housing Shoutmon within, and furthermore, as a result of fusing the latent abilities of these two Digimon, it brings out many powerful Special Moves. Its Special Moves are full of variety, with close-combat attacks, beam attacks, and live ammunition attacks, and have a well-roundedness which can cope with anything from one-on-one combat to group battles, so that might is drawing more than enough from Ballistamon's latent abilities. This form is occasionally equipped with the Star Axe.[4][5] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕2 Plus MBy executing DigiXros with ChibiKamemon, they become Shoutmon ✕2 Plus M, gaining a large green shell on his back that allows him to fight underwater.[6] |
Shoutmon ✕3The "Physical Mode" born from Shoutmon, Ballistamon, and Dorulumon's combat instinct and possessing the fundamental abilities of "Spirit, Skill, and Power" in great supply. Its motion is rich with maneuverability, and it makes sport of the enemy with its acrobatic movements. It appears slender and because its flexible body joints absorb and dissipate the force they receive, it possesses the ability to resist impacts. The "V" on its chest is an all-purpose weapon.[7][8] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕4The "Victory Mode" born from Shoutmon, Ballistamon, Dorulumon, and the Starmons' powerful desire to gain absolute victory. Its raison d'être is nothing but enforcing this conviction. That power is tremendous, and it isn't a mistake to count it as one of the strongest Digimon. Its main specialty is in battling on the ground, and it wields the "Star Sword DX".[9][10] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕4BThe "Divine-horse Mode", formed when Beelzemon granted further power to Shoutmon X4. It is a speedy knight who, if it wonders whether it can run across the land like a swift horse, will gallop to the heavens as if it was sprinting. Because Beelzemon's power has added to the power of Shoutmon X4, each of its techniques has been boosted exponentially. The appearance of it releasing its "Star's Blade Celestrike" makes it appropriate to now call it a fierce god.[11][12] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕4KShoutmon ✕4 can also DigiXros with Knightmon and his PawnChessmon to become the knight-like Shoutmon ×4K.[13] In that form, his Burning Star Crusher creats a "V"-shaped spining tornado. |
Shoutmon ✕4SWith Spadamon, the Weapon-Fighter Mode Shoutmon ×4S is formed with a second sword-type weapon..[14] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕5Shoutmon ✕4 DigiXrossed with Sparrowmon, gaining a new helmet, a shield and wings. In his Finalist Mode, Shoutmon X5 can now fight on land and air.[15] He can DigiXros with Beelzemon to become Shoutmon ×5B, a Pegasus Warrior-God Mode where he becomes a winged centaur-like warrior armed with several rifles.[16] Attacks
Shoutmon ✕5BThe "Pegasus-wargod Mode" formed when Beelzemon granted further power to Shoutmon X5, which incarnated from five Digimon. Beelzemon's firepower has added to the full power of Shoutmon X5, who boasts of being unmatched either on land or in the air, boosting its fighting strength exponentially. This Pegasus becomes a galloping comet across the sky and makes sport of any kind of opponent with its godlike speed, and with its power, which should surely be praised as divine skill, it is like a wargod sent from heaven to destroy demons.[17] Attacks
OmegaShoutmonA form obtained when Omnimon bestowed the legendary "Digivolution" upon a Shoutmon that released its boiling hot soul. In addition to its intense passion, it shines gold because its whole body is clad in the Omega inForce, a power received from Omnimon, and its build is becoming crisp and sharp. Because of the glittering and sharpness of its body, its enemies only see OmegaShoutmon's figure as an afterimage that cannot be pursued.[18][19] Attacks
Shoutmon D✕As the "Crusade Mode", born when OmegaShoutmon, who boasts the swiftest speed, obtained the fighting strength of ZekeGreymon, who boasts unparalleled power, it incarnated its high defensive and offensive power without losing OmegaShoutmon's speed by obtaining ZekeGreymon's "Gold Digizoid". There is never an opponent too formidable before Shoutmon DX, who boasts high mobility and offensive power. It possesses a disposition that contrasts clever divinity with ferocious bestiality, deriving from the instincts within OmegaShoutmon and ZekeGreymon. Although it normally has a mild, kind, and friendly personality, once it gets into battle, it has a complete about-face to a warrior burning with fury. It becomes both cool and audacious enough for battles to get violent, and that appearance is fitting to the name of "Crusade Mode", as it seems to be one who acts as an agent of divine punishment. It has the "Electric Buster Xros" bayonets equipped to its right arm, and the giant "Trident JusFang" claws on its left.[20][21] Attacks
