Added viable cite's to your article FYI

Revision as of 08:19, 28 March 2012

Hi, IKnowMoreThanYouCreditMeFor. Welcome to my talk page. Please note:

  • Personal messages go here. Please use the article or project talk pages for other comments.
  • Talkback template tab is something I use a lot - I try to keep discussions where they first started.
  • Tagged one of your edits? You probably got a more friendly note than a template that the software will log against you.
  • I routinely clean out my talk page, consistent with WP policy, I archive spam, incivility, and personal attacks almost immediately.
  • Online at the same time?

Thanks! I just made my 1st page! Can you give me any pointers on it?

references

Hi, I have just added thre references section so that your references display. They were not displaying before. Ceck the source code to see how I have done this, check the red alerts, then check out WP:CITE to see how to rectify this. Good luck.--Kudpung (talk) 03:12, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be sure to check it out and be mindful of my cite's in the future.
PS: Note that blogs are not acceptable references. I haven't checked the others, but please check this WP:RS and WP:ENT to ensure that your refs comply exactly with our requirements, if not, there is always a risk that another editor could request your article to be deleted.--Kudpung (talk) 03:16, 7 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to all feedback! Checking WP:RS and WP:ENT guidelines, Thanks!

Image tagging for File:Let-freedom-reign-cover.png

Thanks for uploading File:Let-freedom-reign-cover.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 20:07, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I corrected the licensing, it's not free. Hekerui (talk) 09:01, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Dr-Brazier-And-Pres-Obama.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Dr-Brazier-And-Pres-Obama.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hekerui (talk) 09:01, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:BrazierxPresO.jpg

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:BrazierxPresO.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:14, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:BrazierxPresO.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). As a copyright violation, File:BrazierxPresO.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:BrazierxPresO.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. MilborneOne (talk) 20:51, 8 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Silent (Cover).jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Silent (Cover).jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:TheOtherHalfOfLettingCover.jpg

⚠
Thanks for uploading File:TheOtherHalfOfLettingCover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:51, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Gerald Walker (rapper) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
added links to Bellwood, Matteson, Little Brother, FMCS and On Your Side
