Jannat 2 is a Bollywood crime thriller film and a sequel to the 2008 hit film, Jannat. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt. It features Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta in lead roles.[1] The storyline is based on the issue of illegal arms in Delhi.[2][3] The first look unveiled on 15th March 2012, whilst the film is to hit theatres on 4 May, 2012.[4]

Production
Many actresses such as Prachi Desai, Esha Gupta, Kangna Ranaut and others were reported to be assigned as the female lead of the film.[5] However, Gupta was chosen amongst the others. In October 2011, the film began shooting in the lines of Delhi Airport Metro Express.[6] The film wrapped up its shooting on 17 January, 2012.
Title issue
The film was earlier titled Informer and Blood Money and was not expected to be a sequel to Jannat, however the feedback was negative, and hence the title was changed.

The music is composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and is released along with the release of movie Blood Money.The Tracklist comprises of 9 tracks and singers like Shafqat Amanat Ali,Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, KK ,Mohit Chauhan,Javed Ali have lent their voices for the album. The soundtrack opens with positive reviews from critics. TheTimes Of Indian Gave The Film Music 4/5 stars and praised saying "The music of " Jannat 2" lives up to your expectations and is an absolute delight for music lovers". Bollyspice gave the film music 3.5 stars out of 5. [7]. Musicperk.com rated it 7.5/10 quoting "All songs are very beautiful and composed very well. Overall, a great album to listen to. Go for it !". [8].Joginder Tuteja of Bollywood Hungama gave it 4 out of 5 stars and concluded " Jannat 2 is a terrific album which has practically each and every song working for it. A genre album which has love forming an integral part of the affairs, it ensures that each of the songs complement each other in a seamless manner".[9]
