Ken Reid (born 1980)[1] is an American stand-up comedian. Born "Kenneth William Reid" in Winchester, Massachusetts, he is based in Boston.

Education

Reid received his bachelor's degree from Northeastern University in 2003. He attended Melrose High School (Massachusetts) and also studied at Goldsmiths, University of London.

Comedy career

Reid began performing stand up comedy while a student at Goldsmiths, University of London in the UK . He returned to Boston in 2003 and became a regular performer at The Comedy Studio in Cambridge, MA.

Reid was a member of comedy troupe "The Untrainables", a group of stand up performers who formed around The Walsh Brothers' "Great and Secret" comedy show at ImprovBoston.

He has performed and presented at the 2006 Boston Music Awards, was the Comic in Residence at the Comedy Studio in September 2006, performed in the 2009 Charleston Comedy Festival, the 2009 AltCom Festival and the 2010 and 2011 Eugene Mirman Comedy Festivals.

Personal life

Reid was a member of mid 90s Boston Punk band 30 Seconds Over Tokyo. The band formed in the same scene as Dropkick Murphys, The Ducky Boys, The Unseen (band), and The Trouble.
