Hi. When you recently edited Fuzzy Duck (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Andromeda (band) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. When you recently edited Ralph Peterson, Jr., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Walter Davis (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A barnstar for you!

Alejandro García (producer)

IMO it still qualifies as a hoax — there may exist a guitarist/producer with that name, but in its current state, the article contains absolutely zero accurate information. Is that not a hoax? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 00:57, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you find info on the Alejandro Garcia listed in Allmusic, go for it. I'm fluent in Spanish and could find nothing on a guitarist/producer by that name at all. Even if there is a real person by that name, an article composed entirely of misinformation is still a hoax. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 17:58, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Breton (band), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Fat Cat (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Deprodding

Anyone is allowed to deprod an article for whatever poor reason that they don't even have to state. It would however be not so unconstructive if you refrained from deprodding articles that have not a single source reference. __meco (talk) 21:58, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have given reasons for any page where they were required (in some cases, you prodded pages that were so far over the bar as to appear to be a parody). The solution for an unreferenced page is not deletion; it is referencing. You were prodding pages at blinding speed (one a minute, at times), which appears to indicate no searching for references on your own (which the deletion process encourages), and in some cases it looks like you weren't even reading the pages, which had references, chart positions, and other clear assertions of WP:MUSIC passing. Look, I don't want to get into a sniping argument (believe me, this is not how I wanted to spend my day), but lack of references is not in and of itself a reason to delete, and I think your (and my) time is more valuably spent in improving articles on Norwegian metal rather than pitching a battle at PROD and AFD. Chubbles (talk) 22:03, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to check out Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#A blanket reference to record label. __meco (talk) 07:56, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, are you planning on doing any more work on the above draft? The sources do not appear to meet the standard required by Wikipedia, and I couldn't find any more usable ones. As you said in the draft, The Myrchents were never more than a regional success story - so I would be erring on the side of 'not notable as Wikipedia defines it'.

If you are going to do some more work on it, let me know - otherwise I will consider taking it to Miscellany for deletion as drafts should not exist in perpetuity!

Tasketz Kayo

See Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Tasketz Kayo reported by User:Chubbles (Result: Blocked for 1 week). It's been a long time coming, probably because it was not a simple case of the edit warring as such. However, looking at the history I decided that the disruptive IP editing was part of the picture, and taking that into account there were adequate grounds for a block Please feel free to contact me if the problem continues (either after the block expires, or during the block via anon IP edits). JamesBWatson (talk) 08:08, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for confronting this problem user Chubbles, and it's good to finally see some admin response. The continued removal of your label information in the discographies was totally unjustified, but I suspect that Tasketz Kayo felt that this info would weaken the link between some of the artists and Anticon. Having kept an eye on this user since the start, I have my doubts that this block will do anything but delay the inevitable, but we can hope. memphisto 11:01, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

MfD nomination of User:Chubbles/The Myrchents

User:Chubbles/The Myrchents, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Chubbles/The Myrchents and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Chubbles/The Myrchents during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. July 2012

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Baths (musician), makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Tasketz Kayo (talk) 16:58, 8 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in 13 & God. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you.

All Things Fixable

You said "Those aren't compilations, so far as I can tell." But All Things Fixable is a compilation according to [1] and [2]. Poet4life (talk) 22:27, 11 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sockpuppetry

Looking at the editing history of Alias (artist), I think you may be right about sockpuppetry, but it's not obvious enough to me on the basis of a quick look to justify blocking. You may like to take it to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations, and request a checkuser, by changing "checkuser=no" to "checkuser=yes" when you start the investigation page.
