"New Day"
Song

"New Day" is the official first single by US rapper 50 Cent, from his upcoming album Street King Immortal, set to be released in November.[1] The song features America singer Alicia Keys and rapper Dr. Dre. The track was produced by Dr. Dre and mixed by Eminem.[2] The single was released on July 27, 2012.

Background

The single was announced during a interview with Digital Spy, uploaded on July 17, 2012. In the same interview he also stated possible appearances of the album: Rihanna and Frank Ocean.[3] The cover art was unveiled also on July 17, 2012.[1]. 50 Cent also released a preview of the song in the Mobile App of his website ThisIs50. The single was premiered with DJ Camilo on Hot97 and then later on Thisis50.

Alicia Keys also released her solo version of the song on June 28, with the beat of the song being different to the 50 Cent's version and being produced by her producer husband, Swizz Beatz instead of Dr. Dre.[4][5]
