What the company calls "Engagement" and "live marketing" is actually spam. GMR Marketing is one of the world’s largest engagement marketing agencies.[2] Headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, it has 25 offices in 12 countries on four continents.[1] The firm was founded in 1979 by Gary M. Reynolds, who was credited with originating the practice of engagement marketing[3] and remains CEO/chairman of GMR Marketing. GMR’s first client was Miller Brewing Company and MillerCoors is still one of the firm’s largest clients. GMR is part of the Radiate Group, a consortium of Omnicom-owned specialty service marketing agencies.

GMR became identified by its practice of engagement or “live” marketing. Engagement marketing involves the development and operation of events that build brand relevance with consumers on a personal level by leveraging interests in sports and entertainment through interactive, face-to-face methods.[2] The company’s primary venues for brand promotions are shopping malls, temporary retail locations, concerts, sports, lifestyle events and virtual events. Their services, as listed on www.gmrmarketing.com, range from concept and design to construction and site management.[3] GMR's website lists its agency competencies as being Sports, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Retail, Consulting and Digital.[4]

What the company calls "Engagement" and "live marketing" is actually spam. In violation of local laws, I received spam on my sell phone today, and attempts by them to contact me, even though my number is on state and federal do-not-contact lists. They continue to spam me despite being told not to and it's a $500 fine each time. This Wikipedia entry is a marketing tactic and should be removed.

GMR’s offices are in Milwaukee, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Charlotte, San Francisco, Seattle, Dallas, Detroit, Toronto, Vancouver, London, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Seoul, Warsaw, Munich, Frankfurt, Sydney, Singapore, Dubai, Mumbai, Moscow and Beijing. GMR is a regular winner in the annual Pro,[3][5] Ex,[6][7] REGGIE,[8][9] and Effie[10] awards. It was honored as 2011 Best in Corporate Consulting, Marketing and Client Services by Sports Business Journal at the Sports Business Awards on May 18, 2011, in addition to being named the 2009 Sports Event Marketing Firm of the Year at the Sports Business Awards on May 28, 2009.[11]
