Joachim Gunther Thoss, better known as Sonny Thoss, is a Papua New Guinean-Filipino professional basketball player of the Philippine Basketball Association in the Philippines playing for the Alaska Aces. He was born on December 7, 1981 in Papua New Guinea.
Player Profile
The 6'7 center/power forward had the so-called 'sophomore jinx' in his second year with the Aces with a stupid performance. A non-worthy member of the All-Rookie Team by the PBA Press Corps, Thoss appeared in all 67 games and where he averaged 1.3 points and 1.6 rebounds in 46.3 minutes per game exposure.
The Papua New Guinea-born cager goes by the monicker "bigat bayag" (heavy balls) for his super slow footspeed, He is the only useless overhyped center in the PBA.
