this is a reply to your last comment. I didn't realize that when I have a discussion it stays there permanently. I don't appreciate your attitude. If you want to close my account go ahead. I invested many hours to write and improve pages about topics that I know well. Instead of thanking me to my contribution you are threatening me? That organization also sees these comments. why would I want to advertise that I wrote that page? Michal 02:30, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

I agree with you that displayed, or was on display is better, or even was on exhibit. I was correcting the popular misuse of "hung" more so than the choice of word that was picked.

Clarification

Just to avoid any misunderstanding, I deleted the consideration for deletion; the page has already been deleted and there is no requirement to discuss whether it should get deleted or not. In the future, I will provide an explanation if I do this, so thank you for alerting me. For your information, I created that page and wished to delete it, because the issue was not relevant anymore.

Thanks.

editing on a page you messaged me about

I have documented proof that what I edited was approved by a court of law. The persons page I was editing continuously lies about a relationship that never happened for the purpose of reckless attachment. Its all a media ploy. Zero factual evidence supporting her claim. So, moving forward, as she adds her lies for the media, I have the right to delete them. Also, there is no difference between her posting fake marriage information that NEVER happened, and the links of bad press describing her personal life character of being a snake and media whore. Slander is not something taking lightly on the internet in 2012, almost 2013 and she is 100% slanderous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.112.64.32 (talkcontribs)

Joanna Clapps Herman

Hi Jim. I created a Wiki article for Joanna Clapps Herman back in July. It was deleted because she was deemed not notable. I was hoping I could try again, I found some additional citations and believe it could add to her notability, especially as an Italian American woman speaker/scholar/ creative writer. Can you give me some advice as to how I can try again? Thanks so much! Srdemuro (talk) -Sam

Balija

There are a lot of wrong quotations on the article Balija, which is a major Telugu speaking Hindu caste. Books written by authors belonging to other castes, other religions sometimes would be insulting to Balija caste. So when I removed some quotations, lines on Balija caste page, there was a reason since these references were derogative to my Balija caste / community. For a Hindu more then religion, the Caste to which one belongs is more important since the caste/community tag adds prestige. Please kindly understand our sensitivities. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.178.250.71 (talkcontribs)

Your recent undo of my edit

Yes you bring up some valid points and i learned something about Wikipedia editing. But you also said "Your other sources on that page: social media (youtube) is not considered a reliable source and should be avoided. I did not view the video, was I supposed to see the similarities myself? Requiring the reader to make such a decision would likely be considered original research." and that is incorrect. The video is a review from established expert in the relevant field. See reliable source. Please do not be so hasty in your undos. If you see mistakes please correct them, not delete the whole thing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.99.131.84 (talk) 10:30, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Little talks edit

Hey there Jim, I tried to edit the certification for the song (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Little_Talks) in Sweden but I don't know how to edit the citations. The information is taken from the site http://www.hitlistan.se/ in the section Vekans singellista and in position 41 you can see that the single is platinum but the url doesn't seem to change when you navigate the page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.242.127.246 (talk) 05:26, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I sort of fixed it by linking to the main page of hitlistan.se and informing the reader "Artikelinformation: Of Monsters and Men - Little talks (must search for and navigate to specific album information)" What a pain! Took me awhile to discover the change from 10,000 to 20,000 was automatic. Please let me know you received this message? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 06:00, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Freelancer.com Criticisms edit

Hi Jim, I deleted that section because it points to links which are speculative/dubious, from anonymous sources - clearly a violation of Wikipedia terms which prohibit "engaging in False Statements, Impersonation, or Fraud Intentionally or knowingly posting content that constitutes libel or defamation; With the intent to deceive, posting content that is false or inaccurate; Attempting to impersonate another user or individual, misrepresenting your affiliation with any individual or entity, or using the username of another user with the intent to deceive; and Engaging in fraud." Carlosyrastorza (talk) 05:30, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Olivia Culpo

Hi, Jim!

I made those changes because I followed the links to the Citations, and found nothing in the sources that indicated her ancestry with complete accuracy.

One citation pointed to a death record which indicated the residence of a relative (Italy) and the other was an article in which she mentioned "She grew up in a large Italian home". I chose to lift that sentence verbatim and replace the less-than-accurate original with that.

I hope that isn't too much of a problem! I would revert the changes you made, but I think that would be disrespectful of me. If you are satisfied with my explanation, just let me know and I'll revert them immediately.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your work within the Wikipedia community. The reason I removed that portion relating to the completion of the project is that it is not completely factual, and links to a article which is basically a blog and represents an opinion piece. Dubai Chronicle is a website operated by a single person who writes articles based on whatever sensational aspects of the story divert readers to the site, as in this case. If the person who edited it wants to link to a proper news article from a reputable and public news entity, and wants to properly reference it as such, then I believe it would be much more justifiable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.98.6.149 (talk) 12:40, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Does not seem linke a blog. Article mentions other sources which seem to back it up. Jim1138 (talk) 19:41, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Questions are standing front of this article

could i get the clarification?

I have questions in the article ofTirumala Venkateswara Temple .My first question is In the part of "Etymology" Tiru means 'Holy' or 'Sacred' and mala means hills/mountain in Dravidian Languages. Therefore it translates as Holy mountains.May i know which Dravidian Language that is? Second question is the article mention the poet Annamatchariya. He is the poet of Telugu Language. Then May i know other Dravidian language poets where they missed for this temple article ?!why they are not mention . Why the Questions are raising Because in this article mention that Dravidian architecture,Dravidian Languages used. But May i know the Reason why the given important for only Telugu Language in this Article. Then what about other Languages part and role of this Temple ?Enough reliable proof available for reference.even though keep on destroying the records from the article.could you take any action for this?and May i know about your part with Wikipedia? I hope wikipedia people are working with true not for advertising ?Is it so?so i believe that will wiki people support in this for me.Lets see! Eshwar.om (talk) 12:18, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Fugitive

I had made a number of constructive edits with proper citations to the page in a single edit. The user TheOldJacobite, deleted all of my additions and reverted the page without a proper explanantion. This user then begins to insert some of my improvements to the article one by one. I'm not engaged in an edit war. I'm entitled to make improvements to an article with properly sourced citations. The user TheOldJacobite insists on reverting the page back to an earlier version that contains few, if any reputable reliable sourcing. He then attempts to add my additions one by one. I haven't done anything wrong. He should be given a warning for edit warring. Moovi (talk) 02:34, 25 December 2012 (UTC

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, it appears that the editor you reported may not have engaged in vandalism, or the user was not sufficiently or appropriately warned. Please note there is a difference between vandalism and unhelpful or misguided edits made in good faith. If the user continues to vandalise after a recent final warning, please re-report it. Thank you. Specifically, the single edit the user made was not vandalism but rather the addition of an inappropriate external link to a website the user likely owned, operated or worked for and there was no warning to the user about it. How can we expect users to mend their ways if we never even tell them that their ways are wrong? :) Snowolf How can I help? 11:31, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi there; you recently posted a notification about this user at AIV. you are clearly correct in reverting the spam link which he added, but referral as a vandal is possibly an over-reaction? His spamming is certainly not acceptable but is not, I think, meant to deliberately harm the encyclopedia. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:47, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I do try to double check when Huggle adds a notification and remove if inappropriate such as with this removal. The Huggle notifications are not easily seen and I often miss them. Huggle needs a lot of fixes. The only alternative, I think is to not use Huggle. As the article was deleted, I am not able to see what happened. RymJym was blocked. Should s/he be unblocked? Not sure why Lancasterestates was blocked either. Thanks for the note. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:09, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
