Nanne Nyander
Nanne Nyander (born June 17, 1965) is a Swedish figurative painter. She is best known for her large scale angel paintings, which depict human virtues and address the urgency of healing the planet and the need for human awakening. Her iconography incorporates angels and other universal symbols that are not tied to any one religion or ideology, yet can be related to from different view points for the purpose of bringing together people of diverse cultures.
She is also accomplished in the genre of portrait painting, which reflects the harmony of her philosophy. She paints in oil, in a classical style, combining her skills and the techniques from the Old Masters with Spirituality.
Primarily influenced by the Italian Renaissance she also brings in techniques,
and the rendering of light from the Dutch Old Masters.
Nanne’s education follows a direct unbroken lineage back to Leonardo da Vinci and Andrea del Verrocchio.
