Reincarnated is a feature length documentary film about the musician Snoop Dogg's explorations of reggae and Rastafarian culture, and his transformation into Snoop Lion. It was debuted at the South by Southwest film festival, and was released to theaters March 21, 2013.[1] It is a companion film to his forthcoming album, Reincarnated.[2] The film was shot by Andy Capper of Vice Magazine.[3][4]
Production
Capper followed Snoop Dogg around Jamaica for a month in 2012, filming him meeting with Bunny Wailer, smoking marijuana, and recording the companion album. Snoop Dogg had asked Vice Films to participate, as, according to Capp, "...Snoop is a big fan of our stuff. He'd seen documentaries I'd made before like The Vice Guide to Liberia and Swansea Love Story. He'd seen Heavy Metal in Baghdad."
