I read somewhere else long ago that one stuffed straw into three of the four corners (that the hat might serve as a pillow, which is not as far-fetched as it might sound if you've ever had to sleep with your head on a hard faceted object and even a wadded scarf would provide some comfort) and used the fourth corner as a wallet. Where I found this I now have no idea.
