Hi Wizardman, I encountered an odd situation today. Laurencebeck was automatically registered on 29 April 2013 and shows contributions starting from May 2013 up to today. However, his talk page redirects to User talk:Vanished user kweiru239aqwijur3, who supposedly "vanished" on 29 April 2013 . From their contributions they appear to be the same editor, who has obviously not vanished. The question is, do I contact Laurencebeck on User talk:Vanished user kweiru239aqwijur3? Will he see it there? Voceditenore (talk) 05:54, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Discussion about the deletion of Business Ministry .
Hi Wizardman, I am a new Wikipedia contributor. I had published the page about Business Ministry. But you have deleted my page under G11 tag. I don think it was an advertisement for anything. I used the references from a book. Although you have deleted the page, I request you to restore the page, so that I can optimize the facts, remove anything that represent the page as an advertisement. Looking for your kind response on that issue. Thank you for your valuable time.Eragon.raju (talk) 07:24, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Catlin Seaview Survey

Hi Wizardman, Hersfold was looking to write an article about the Catlin Seaview Survey, after writing about some of our technology (the SVII) but has suggested that you can pick up on this for us. Look forward to working with you - please contact me with any questions once you get onto this project - ben@underwaterearth.org - many thanks.

Happy Memorial Day!

Stanley Miarka, Frank Dyall, and Al Dubetts

I've been away from Wikipedia for a few days and noticed that on July 1, the articles Stanley Miarka, Frank Dyall, and Al Dubetts were speedy deleted with a notation that no sources exist. Each of these men, however, has an entry appearing in James Riley's Biographical Encyclopedia of the Negro Baseball Leagues. Although they apparently played in the Negro leagues briefly, and perhaps as a publicity stunt, I think we have generally retained articles for persons who have been verified to have played in the Negro leagues. At a minimum, if these articles are to be deleted, I'd like to see them go through an AfD discussion to get community discussion of the standards that are being applied. Would it be possible to restore the articles and, if necessary, take them to AfD? BRMo (talk) 05:22, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, I don't see how Tyler Minges is an A7 candidate. The article has been here for 7 years without even an AfD. We have thousands of minor league baseball player articles so I don't see how it hasn't asserted notability. —Xezbeth (talk) 06:23, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
With a Google Books search[1], I found a couple of other sources, in addition to Riley, that talk about Stanley Miarka. In the case of Frank [Dyall/Dyll], it appears that Riley may have misspelled his name, because quite a few sources show Frank Dyll, but only Riley shows him as Frank Dyall [2]. (If the article is is restored, I suggest a move and redirect to Frank Dyll, since Riley does list his name as Dyall.) I couldn't find anything yet on Dubetts other than the entry in Riley, but this evening I'll try checking some other sources. BRMo (talk) 16:43, 8 July 2013 (UTC) Also, these players wouldn't show up in the Negro League data at baseball-reference.com, because they played in 1950 and the bb-ref data only go through 1948 (I believe). BRMo (talk) 18:16, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for restoring the Miarka and Dyll articles. I've looked some more for Dubetts, and the only thing I can find continues to be the entry in Riley's Biographical Encyclopedia. Riley says that Dubetts was from Havana, Illinois and "was one of three white players (along with Louis Clarizio and Louis Chirban) signed by manager 'Double Duty' Radcliffe for the Chicago American Giants in late June 1950. However, his skills were limited and his stay with the team was very brief." So far, that's all I can find on Dubetts. BRMo (talk) 03:24, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for looking into that. Not sure if Dubetts is worth the article in that case, what's being found doesn't really seem worth it. Wizardman 14:33, 9 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm ok with that. I'll let you know if I find anything else. BRMo (talk) 02:20, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

CCI stuff

Are there any CCI's that you need immediate help with for images, as I can help with that. I have a list of ones I could tackle, but I figured I'd as before I went ahead and started working. Thanks! Kevin Rutherford (talk) 18:42, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Administrator Wizardman,

I received a couple of complaints over IRC on the following user that you blocked: 108.173.0.144. I have added this to make it clearer that he has been blocked, if you don't mind. Just wanted to inform you. --JustBerry (talk) 22:00, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dave Shipanoff, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jose Escobar (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
