(I used to attend FAME when "Chip" was Senior Pastor around the time I first came back to the Lord a number of decades ago.). I had no idea the this was the famous Maurice Simon, the saxophonist who has performed with such jazz greats (too many to be listed here). He was born the same year as Benny Golson (Benny's son "Reggie" was in my band when we were teenagers) and is a distinguising-looking gentleman walking and speaking as well as he wants to at age 85. I hope and pray the Lord allows me to live that long and be that mobile and well. May God continue to richly bless and keep you Mr. Simon........and please forgive me for not knowing who you were. typos removed

Hi technopat, sorry for not specifying what I edited. I removed simple typos and that's why I thought it was useless to fill the edit line. I was clearly wrong, therefore I specified what I've done in my next correction.

I definitely need to make an account!! Thank you and please if you can check again my correction

Pretty please

Hi Technopat, Figured this might soften your heart and you could answer two questions: What is template to put on the top of an article equivalent to the {{en obras}}; and, how do I know if I am autopatrolled here and, if not, where do I request it? 27 Club and WP:BLP

Greetings, Technopat. Could you please explain why you think this discussion would violate WP:BLP? I can see that WP:BLP does apply to talk pages, not just articles, but I'm unclear on why you think it needs to be removed from there. Do you consider that material to be negative or questionable? The anonymous editor did provide a source for it, which was an interview with the living person in question, so it seems to me that it should be allowed on the talk page. Whether or not that material fits into the article is a separate question, and as I posted there, I don't think it does. So in my view the talk page discussion is not a critical one anyway. I'm just requesting more of an explanation of why you think that talk page section violated the policy. (If you reply here, I will see what you say.) Sokouras in Burkina Faso

Hi. I got a message that you've recently reviewed the articles Sokoura_I,_Mangodara_Department,_Comoé and Sokoura_II,_Mangodara_Department,_Comoé. I've recently done some work on these two articles, and various other villages and towns in Burkina Faso, and wanted to check that everything was OK. I'm not sure exactly what a "review" is, and how I see the results. In my edits I've tried to make clear that there are several villages called Sokoura in Burkina Faso, including two in Mangodara Department. Where there are two identically named villages in the same department, the government distinguishes them in its population and agricultural surveys by numbering them (in Roman numerals). I know that this makes it confusing when looking them up, but I've tried to make it clear on the disambiguation page what is going on. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve these pages. Thanks. RomanSpa (talk) 19:50, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, it's unsurprising that there are several places called Sokoura. In the Bambara language used in the south-west of Burkina Faso the name "Sokoura" can be translated as "New House" or perhaps "New Houses". That is, it's roughly equivalent to the English place name Newton ("new town"). RomanSpa (talk) 20:02, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your kind reply. I agree that the translation of "Sokoura" is interesting, but I probably can't include it in the articles, as it would fall into the category of "original research". That is, I did the translation myself, and there may be other translations that would work just as well. If I find a proper reference then I will certainly put this information in the articles, though. Once again, thank you. RomanSpa (talk) 10:17, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Animal Farm spelling

I agree that the spelling should use British English. It was changed from the "k" spelling here and remained like that until it was changed earlier.

Either way the second usage is a quote from The Cambridge Companion to George Orwell so has to retain the "c" spelling as a quote.

Which is the BE spelling. collinsdictionary.com and thefreedictionary.com both say that the "c" version is archaic and US. However, dictionary.cambridge.org (British sceptical) (also dictionary.cambridge.org (American skeptical), oxforddictionaries.com, merriam-webster.com, sceptical and skeptical all have the "c" spelling as British as does Skepticism#Definition and American and British English spelling differences (look for sceptic). CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 11:53, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologise these things happen. I once changed several spellings of "traveler" to "traveller" because I didn't know that it was a US spelling. At least it's not like Canadian English where you see both US and British spellings used. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 12:42, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Zlover123

Hello, it's StarStorm482. I was wondering if you know Zlover123. She's a friend of mine and I'm hopeful I might be able to find and post on her talk page. Answer back soon; I'm excited to meet her.

Disambiguation link notification for November 24

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Cricket clothing and equipment, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Boundary (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Talk Page on White

You said on my talk page that I had deleted someone else's content from the talk page on the White article. I wasn't aware that I had done that, and if I did, it was quite by accident, and I apologize. I hope the discussion will continue, in the common interest of coming up with a better article.SiefkinDR (talk) 16:03, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Technopat. Links serving as references on the Allegro Development page are forwarding to a dead page at dermworx.com. Those were the edits I made that you reversed. I would think we'd want to eliminate harmful/nonfunctioning links. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.226.197.55 (talk) 18:12, 30 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

George Orwell page

Hi,

I explained in the edit box why the change was made. No need for a citation to the claim as it's clear in the photo of his gravestone that no reference is made to his pen name.

Good Morning, I see you didn't just erase the links, the information is as well deleted, I think it would be interesting to maintain the Information, so Can Framis museum, for example, is one of the big museums in Barcelona.

Thank you very much

Mason-Mac

Hello. In August you moved the page Noel Mason-Macfarlane to Nöel Mason-MacFarlane with reason: "Correct name". Can I ask on what grounds? For example, neither the diaeresis nor the camelCase appear here in the London Gazette.[1] If he did use a diaeresis would it not be over the -e- e.g. Noël? Nedrutland (talk) 20:27, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your response and my apologies for incorrect placing of the comment.
However there remains the question of the camelCase (you altered the title to Mason-MacFarlane but throughout the article, other than the lede, it remains Mason-Macfarlane). Relying on The Gazette, I still favour Mason-Macfarlane; do you have sources for Mason-MacFarlane? With best wishes Nedrutland (talk) 08:48, 24 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
