This is a list of characters from the 2014 Super Sentai Series Ressha Sentai ToQger (烈車戦隊トッキュウジャー, Ressha Sentai Tokkyūjā).

ToQgers

The ToQgers (トッキュウジャー, Tokkyūjā) are childhood friends who have very few memories of their past and are chosen for their Imagination (イマジネーション, Imajinēshon) that enabled them to be rejected by the darkness that consumed their town. Their mission is to protect the peace of Earth from the evil Shadow Line from plunging the world into darkness, possessing Rainbow Passes (レインボーパス, Reinbō Pasu) to board the Ressha. Using the railroad crossing-themed ToQ Changers (トッキュウチェンジャー, Tokkyū Chenjā) with the ToQ Ressha (トッキュウレッシャー, Tokkyū Resshā), a replica of a Ressha car, the ToQgers transform using the ToQ Change (トッキューチェンジ, Tokkyū Chenji). Right also discovers that they can Transfer Change (乗り換えチェンジ, Norikae Chenji), allowing each other to switch their Resshas to change their colors and associated weapons. They ToQgers are armed with the ToQ Blaster (トッキュウブラスター, Tokkyū Burasutā) that can change from Blaster Mode (ウチマスモード, Uchimasu Mōdo)[Note 1] to Sword Mode (キリマスモード, Kirimasu Mōdo).[Note 2] The ToQgers' signature team attack is the Rainbow Rush (レインボーラッシュ, Reinbō Rasshu) that is shot from their signature weapons combined into the Renketsu Bazooka (レンケツバズーカ, Renketsu Bazūka),[Note 3] the attack powered by the Energy Ressha (エナジーレッシャー, Enajī Resshā) and its effect reflected in the shooter's imagination.

Right (ライト, Raito) is a spirited youth who is always facing and rushing forward to seize joy of life. He is the one usually giving it his all, the type to easily be fired up and go against the odds. Out of the five ToQgers, Right's Imagination is the strongest and he inspires others to believe in what he believes in, often pulling his friends along whether they like it or not. He often acts before he thinks and hates cramped places. He seems to be the only ToQger with any form of memory of their pasts. He has a habit of initiating Transfer Changes during fights without asking for permission, often annoying his friends as well as the Conductor.

As ToQ 1gou (トッキュウ1号, Tokkyū Ichi-gō), normally colored red, he uses the track-themed Rail Slasher (レールスラッシャー, Rēru Surasshā) sword as his weapon.[1]

Right is portrayed by Jun Shison (志尊 淳, Shison Jun).[2][3] As a child, he is portrayed by Homare Mabuchi (馬渕 誉, Mabuchi Homare).

Tokatti

Tokatti (トカッチ, Tokatchi) is a highly cautious yet clumsy and bookish character, making him flighty and easy to overreact to anything. When something happens, Tokatti is the type that wants to investigate and research first, but becomes very incessant when regarding results. He is a specialist at analyzing enemies and making plans, but due to his deliberate thought processes, he is unable to think on the fly and improvise. He is really bad at being on time as well. Despite being bookish, he remarks that Hikari is the smarter one in the team instead.

As ToQ 2gou (トッキュウ2号, Tokkyū Ni-gō), normally colored blue, he uses the railway platform-themed Form Trigger (ホームトリガー, Hōmu Torigā) laser gun as his weapon.[4]

Tokatti is portrayed by Jin Hiramaki (平牧 仁, Hiramaki Jin).[2][5] As a child, he is portrayed by Keishiro Nagase (永瀬 圭志朗, Nagase Keishirō).

Mio

Mio (ミオ) is a sporty woman with a confusing character. Though she is "manly", she is really good at housework. Because of this, she is quite popular with the boys and often seen taking care of everyone else. However, she is very uncomfortable with the idea of romance. Mio acts as the team's big sister and usually the one keeping everyone in line, and has absolutely no tolerance for under-handed attacks.

As ToQ 3gou (トッキュウ3号, Tokkyū San-gō), normally colored yellow, she uses the railway signal-themed Shingō Hammer (シンゴウハンマー, Shingō Hanmā) as her weapon.[6]

Mio is portrayed by Riria (梨里杏).[2][7] As a child, she is portrayed by Kaoruko Ishii (石井 薫子, Ishii Kaoruko).

Hikari

Hikari (ヒカリ) is an unhurried and nonchalant man with a Kendama toy on his person, able to only imagine things that are within reason. He is not very sociable and does not talk much, often seen lazing at a corner on his own while the rest of the team is occupied with something else. Though their imaginations and opinions differ, Hikari serves as Right's foil and his natural fighting instincts and analytical nature places him on even footing with Right when it comes to fights. While Right often pulls everyone away with his Imagination, Hikari is the one who keeps his friends on the ground. Though quite obedient to Mio, he often teases Kagura. He has a quick wit and Tokatti remarks that he is the smartest of the team, although he does not display this side of him often.

As ToQ 4gou (トッキュウ4号, Tokkyū Yon-gō), normally colored green, he uses the extremely heavy Tunnel Axe (トンネルアックス, Tonneru Akkusu) as his weapon.[8]

Hikari is portrayed by Ryusei Yokohama (横浜 流星, Yokohama Ryūsei).[2][9] As a child, he is portrayed by Hikaru Yamazaki (山﨑 光, Yamazaki Hikaru).

Kagura

Kagura (カグラ) is a girl whose Imagination is second only to Right, but often hampered due to severe self-doubt. In essence, she tells tall tales and unforeseen events usually take place. Because of this, Kagura's body can't really handle fighting well unless she uses her imagination to will herself into an unbeatable warrior. Unlike Right, her Imagination is simple and focused despite very powerful, as such capable of imagining herself to have extraordinary traits, like super strength, increased agility, or enhanced hardness. But this method of imagination is double-edged, as if Kagura ever gets overexcited, she trades self-restraint for some overwhelming yet uncontrollable trait.

As ToQ 5gou (トッキュウ5号, Tokkyū Go-gō), normally colored pink, she uses the railway bridge-themed Tekkyō Claw (テッキョウクロー, Tekkyō Kurō) as her weapon.[10]

Kagura is portrayed by Ai Moritaka (森高 愛, Moritaka Ai).[11] As a child, she is portrayed by Rara Shimizu (清水 らら, Shimizu Rara).

Akira Nijino

Akira Nijino (虹野 明, Nijino Akira) is a former Shadow who works as a maintenance worker on the Rainbow Line. As a Shadow, he was known as Zaramu (ザラム) and he had the power to make the weather rain in order to postpone outdoor activities. However, when he saw a rainbow for the first time, the rain he had created stopped and he saw beauty for the first time. For this reason, he joined the Rainbow Line, but he still seems to make it rain around him. When the group comes across him after learning that the Conductor had commissioned equipment for a sixth ToQger, Right realizes he will be perfect for the job, even after Zaramu tells him his past. When General Schwartz threatens the other ToQgers and Right is out of commission, he uses the Appli Changer and Build Ressha to transform, hoping that he will finally be able to die to atone for his past sins. He deals a powerful blow to General Schwartz, passes out, believing he has died, only to be shocked that he is not dead. He leaves the transformation items with Right and storms off. During the incident with Ring Shadow, Z forces him to readopt his old name to test the former Shadow's will, allowing him to fall victim to Ring Shadow's Headache Ring attack. To counter this, the ToQgers decide to give him a new human name to overcome Ring Shadow's ability, and thus naming him Akira Nijino.

As ToQ 6gou (トッキュウ6号, Tokkyū Roku-gō), colored orange, he uses the AppliChanger (アプリチェンジャー, Apurichenjā) and Build Ressha to transform, and is armed with the beacon-themed Yudou Breaker (ユウドウブレイカー, Yūdō Bureikā) sword which can use the Drill Ressha for a more powerful finishing attack.[12]

Zaramu is portrayed by Shin Nagahama (長濱 慎, Nagahama Shin).

Ressha

The Ressha (烈車) is the ToQgers' headquarters that is based on the Rainbow Line. Though it usually answers to the Conductor, the Ressha can be used by the ToQgers to fight enlarged Shadow Creeps. Each Ressha car is modelled after a specific train model: Red Ressha (レッドレッシャー, Reddo Resshā) as a steam locomotive, Blue Ressha (ブルーレッシャー, Burū Resshā) and Green Ressha (グリーンレッシャー, Gurīn Resshā) Shinkansen-type trains, and Yellow Ressha (イエローレッシャー, Ierō Resshā) and Pink Ressha (ピンクレッシャー, Pinku Resshā) E65 type-trains.[13] The Ressha's cars can reconfigure to become Ressha Combination ToQ-Oh (烈車合体トッキュウオー, Ressha Gattai Tokkyūō). ToQ-Oh is armed with the crossing gate-themed Fumikiriken (フミキリケン)[Note 4] that it uses to for its Fumikiriken Ressha Slash (フミキリケン烈車スラッシュ, Fumikiriken Ressha Surasshu) finishing attack, where the lights on the Fumikiriken flash, then a manifestation of the Ressha appear in front of the target, distracting it long enough for ToQ-Oh to cleave the target in two. ToQ-Oh can also combine with any within series of supplementary trains called Support Ressha (サポート烈車, Sapōto Ressha) through Ressha Armaments (烈車武装, Ressha Busō).[14]

  • The Shield Ressha (シールドレッシャー, Shīrudo Resshā) can combine with ToQ-Oh to equip the Signal Shield (シグナルシールド, Shigunaru Shīrudo) to protect itself from enemy attacks. It can also be used in the Signal Shield Beam (シグナルシールドビーム, Shigunaru Shīrudo Bīmu) attack, firing lasers from its five signal lights.[15]
  • The CarCarrier Ressha (カーキャリアレッシャー, Kākyaria Resshā) is able to carry large items on its two levels. Its main use is carrying the Dash Cars (ダッシュカー, Dasshu Kā), tiny cars for the ToQgers to use if the Rainbow Line is ever halted due to strong Shadow Line activity. The CarCarrier Ressha is even strong enough to hold the weight of the Ressha train if the Rainbow Line's tracks break. When it combines with ToQ-Oh, they become ToQ-Oh CarCarrier (トッキュウオーカーキャリア, Tokkyūō Kākyaria). Its finishing move is the CarCarrier Dash (カーキャリアダッシュ, Kākyaria Dasshu), blasting the target with a barrage of the Dash Cars.[16][17]
  • The Tank Ressha (タンクレッシャー, Tanku Resshā) supplies the other Ressha with fuel. When it combines with ToQ-Oh, they become ToQ-Oh Tank (トッキュウオータンク, Tokkyūō Tanku). Its finishing move is the Tank Upper (タンクアッパー, Tanku Appā), a powerful uppercut punch.[18][19]
  • ToQ-Oh can combine with both the CarCarrier Ressha and the Tank Ressha to become ToQ-Oh CarCarrier Tank (トッキュウオーカーキャリアタンク, Tokkyūō Kākyaria Tanku). Its finishing move is the CarCarrier Tank Shoot (カーキャリアータンクシュート, Kākyariā Tanku Shūto).
  • In Heisei Riders vs. Shōwa Riders: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai, ToQ-Oh exchanges the Red Ressha for the Kyoryuger Ressha, formed from the Kyoryugers' Zyudenryu Gabutyra, to become ToQ-Oh Kyoryuzin (トッキュウオーカーキョウリュウジン, Tokkyūō Kyōryūjin). This formation can also combine with Kamen Rider Den-O's DenLiner to become ToQ-Oh Kyoryuzin feat. DenLiner (トッキュウオーカーキョウリュウジン feat.デンライナー, Tokkyūō Kyōryūjin Fiucharingu Denrainā).
  • The Diesel Ressha (ディーゼルレッシャー, Dīzeru Resshā) is the oldest Ressha, running on Imagination of old diesel engines that use internal combustion. Its three cars are made of a reinforced steel alloy that can pull the other Ressha cars with ease. Because it is so old, it requires a lot of Imagination to restore, and Right with his care manages to bring it back just in time to stop the other Ressha cars from crashing into an oil refinery while they were under the control of Bakudan Shadow.[20] By combining with the Tank and CarCarrier Ressha, the Diesel Ressha can become Diesel-Oh (ディーゼルオー, Dīzeruō). By striking the ground with its right arm, it unleashes a shock wave called the Diesel-Oh Impact (ディーゼルオーインパクト, Dīzeruō Inpakuto). Its finishing move is the Diesel-Oh Spin Kick (ディーゼルオースピンキック, Dīzeruō Supin Kikku), a high speed drilling movement right through its target.[21]
  • Combining the five ToQ Resshas with the CarCarrier, Tank, and Diesel Resshas forms Cho-ToQ-Oh (超トッキュウオー, Chō-Tokkyūō). It is able to fire multiple rounds from the Cho-ToQ Cannons (超トッキュウキャノン, Chō-Tokkyū Kyanon) from both arms and its finishing attack is the Cho-ToQ-Oh Full Burst Finish (超トッキュウオーフルバーストフィニッシュ, Chō-Tokkyūō Furu Bāsuto Finisshu) However, because this formation wasn't in the original design according to the Conductor, much stress is placed on the main Resshas and as such, can only be used if necessary.[22]
  • The Fire Ressha (ファイヤーレッシャー, Faiyā Resshā) is modelled after the Imagination of a fire extinguisher, and has the ability to produce large quantities of water to put out massive fires. Its Fire Ladder (ファイヤーラダー, Faiyā Radā) can also be used to save people in burning buildings.[23] The Fire Ressha is discovered after several Kurainer Robo fights put the main Ressha out of commission, and after the Conductor notifies the ToQgers of a new Support Ressha nearby they need to look for before coming across any more Shadow Line activity. Right and Kagura eventually find it in the form of a giant fire extinguisher, which Kagura is initially skeptical of until Right manages to enter it and convert it into its train form. Later battling an enlarged Loupe Shadow, the ToQgers form Diesel-Oh Fire (ディーゼルオーファイヤー, Dīzeruō Faiyā). Its left arm holds the Extinguisher Arm (ショウカアーム, Shōka Āmu), capable of putting out any fire no matter how big. Its right arm holds the Fire Ladder which is used in its finishing attack the Fire Splash (ファイヤースプラッシュ, Faiyā Supurasshu), which burns the enemy down.[24]
  • The Police Ressha (ポリスレッシャー, Porisu Resshā) is modelled after the Imagination of a patrol car, and is the fastest of the Resshas, using its Police Gun (ポリスガン, Porisu Gan) to give support fire in rescues.[25] It is found after all of the ToQgers but Hikari are arrested by an inept cop due to the actions of Sōjiki Shadow. Hikari does his best to clear their names, but it does not convince the cop. Eventually, they are freed, and they all face off against Sōjiki Shadow, and in the confusion ToQ 1gou discovers the Police Ressha amongst the stolen goods. He uses this to hold off an enlarged Sōjiki Shadow until the others form ToQ-Oh, which combines with the Police Ressha to form ToQ-Oh Police (トッキュウオーポリス, Tokkyūō Porisu). Its right arm is armed with the Police Gun, and its left the Police Wappā (ポリスワッパー, Porisu Wappā). It uses both in its Police Smash (ポリススマッシュ, Porisu Sumasshu) finishing attack, constraining the Shadow Kaijin with the Police Wappā and then firing the Police Gun.[26]
  • The Drill Ressha (ドリルレッシャー, Doriru Resshā) is a support Ressha used by ToQ 6gou. It was originally a Drill Kurainer (ドリルクライナー, Doriru Kurainā) that Zaramu used as part of the Shadow Line until he defected, becoming a powerful drill-themed Ressha. When combining with ToQ-Oh they form ToQ-Oh Drill (トッキュウオードリル, Tokkyūō Doriru), and its finishing attack is the Drill Tornado (ドリルトルネード, Doriru Torunēdo).
  • The Build Ressha (ビルドレッシャー, Birudo Resshā) is ToQ 6gou's personal Ressha, the strongest of the ToQ Resshas. Its claw on its front car and the Power Crane (パワークレーン, Pawā Kurēn) on one of its back cars allow it to lift and move particularly heavy objects. It can combine with its back cars to increase its ability to lift.[27] It can transform itself into BuildDai-Oh (ビルドダイオー, Birudodaiō), becoming armed with the supersonic Shoulder Beam (ショルダービーム, Shorudā Bīmu). Its finishing attack is the BuildDai-Oh Bucket Break (ビルドダイオーバケットブレイク, Birudodaiō Baketto Bureiku).[28]

Allies

Conductor

The Conductor (車掌, Shashō) is an eccentric and enigmatic personality who has the knowledge of the ToQgers' past, but yet refuses to tell much about it.[29]

The Conductor is portrayed by Tsutomu Sekine (関根 勤, Sekine Tsutomu).[30]

Ticket

Ticket (チケット, Chiketto) is the Conductor's monkey-like handpuppet worn by the Conductor, although he hates being called such. He has a sharp tongue and seems more straightforward than the Conductor.[31]

Ticket is voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi (山口 勝平, Yamaguchi Kappei),[30][32] who also voices the announcer on the ToQgers' ToQ Changers.

Wagon

Wagon (ワゴン) is a robotic assistant who sells drinks and meals to the team, as well as doing everyday maintenance chores. Though mysterious, she has a way of putting a smile on everyone's faces.[33]

Wagon is voiced by Yui Horie (堀江 由衣, Horie Yui).[30]

Shadow Line

The Shadow Line (シャドーライン, Shadōrain) are steampunk-themed denizens of the dark who wish to consume the world in darkness. To achieve that goal, they send a Shadow Ressha called the Kurainer (クライナー, Kurainā)[Note 5] from their fortress Castle Terminal (キャッスルターミナル, Kyassuru Tāminaru) to gather the darkness in peoples' hearts by subjecting them to nightmarish scenarios to fortify the Shadow Line's railway to the point that there is a Dark Station (闇駅, Yami Eki) in every city on Earth. The more inner darkness they gain, the closer to completion the railway will be until they are able to give their emperor, Z, entry into the world. From there, as the acting leaders believe once they succeed in their mission, the Emperor will destroy all those among his followers that he deems useless.

Baron Nero

Baron Nero (ネロ男爵, Nero Danshaku)[Note 6] is the acting leader of the Shadow Line, dressed as an Italian aristocrat. He has shown to be a skilled melee fighter with his walking stick and he can also throw his top hat as a disc or shoot a powerful dark energy beam. His Shadow Creeps are designated NeHa (ネハ) and serve him by targeting multiple stations at once while he ponders on how to greet Z, his only concern being to welcome the Emperor to the human world and to prove his worth to their ruler.[34]

Baron Nero is voiced by Jun Fukuyama (福山 潤, Fukuyama Jun).[30]

Madame Noa

Madame Noa (ノア夫人, Noa Fujin)[Note 7] is the secondary leader of the Shadow Line, dressed in a Victorian era French gown. She uses an umbrella in battle like a fencing sword or as a shield to block small shots. She can also use it to fire a small rain of energy shots or a large energy beam like Baron Nero, as well as wield it as though it were a machine gun. With the upbringing of Miss Glitta being her first priority in winning Z's favor, Noa uses her NoHa (ノハ) designated Shadow Creeps to gather high quality darkness in order to further refine her child's beauty.[35]

Madame Noa is voiced by Aya Hisakawa (久川 綾, Hisakawa Aya).[30]

General Schwartz

General Schwartz (シュバルツ将軍, Shubarutsu Shōgun)[Note 8] is the military leader of the Shadow Line and is obsessed with creating the Shadow Ressha forces to deal with the ToQgers once he obtain enough intelligence on them. He resembles a German military leader. He is a very capable fighter, using his saber to easily defeat all the ToQgers. He has his own personal Kurainer which is capable of changing into a Kurainer Robo (クライナーロボ, Kurainā Robo). He has recently promised Miss Gritta that he will answer her feelings in time, showing that he knows how she feels about him.[36]

General Schwartz is voiced by Haruhiko Jō (壤 晴彦, Jō Haruhiko).[30]

Miss Glitta

Miss Glitta (グリッタ嬢, Guritta Jō)[Note 9] is Noa's daughter whom is being brought up to become a bride for Z once he enters the world. However, Glitta appears to be infatuated with General Schwartz, using her GuHa (グハ)-type Shadow Creeps to help him. She constantly watches Schwartz and clings to a handkerchief that he dropped and said she could keep. When Z finally arrives, Glitta finds her husband-to-be frightening and has no intention to marry him. She has not shown any combat skill, but has a small dagger on hand which she once tries to use on Z.[37]

Miss Glitta is voiced by Noriko Hidaka (日高 のり子, Hidaka Noriko).[30]

Z

Emperor of Darkness Z (闇の皇帝ゼット, Yami no Kōtei Zetto)[38] is the human-like ruler of the Shadow Line. The Shadow Line's acting leaders work to gather the darkness in human hearts to complete the railway so they can grant the Emperor entry into the world, believing that only one of them would be deemed too loyal and valuable to be destroyed. When he finally arrives from the World of Darkness, despite being unable to remain in the light for long periods of time, Z becomes ironically fascinated by the bright and colorful human world. Before revealing his true identity, Z developed an interest in Right, finding him and the ToQgers interesting as he has Lamp Shadow erase the memories of Right's friends. He has his own personal Kurainer. His Shadow Creeps are designated ZeRo (ゼロ).[39]

Z is portrayed by Kengo Ohkuchi (大口 兼悟, Ōkuchi Kengo).

Close

The Close (クローズ, Kurōzu)[Note 10] are the train robber-themed footsoldiers who support the Shadow Creeps. They are armed with tommyguns that transform into hatchet-like weapons. The Close can also pilot Kurainers that transform into Kurainer Robos.[40]

Shadow Creeps

The Shadow Creeps (シャドー怪人, Shadō Kaijin) are the monsters of the Shadow Line, the frontline warriors who establish Dark Stations in a city to propagate the darkness within the hearts of humans with their personal rulings to extend the Shadow Line's railways. If they are defeated in at their human-size, they can use the very darkness that they have gathered to make themselves grow into giants. When a Shadow Creep is destroyed, the Dark Station and city are restored to their original states.

  • Bag Shadow (バッグシャドー, Baggu Shadō), designated NoHa 829-1 (ノハ829-1), is the first of the Shadow Creeps to appear in the series, possessing the ability to hold things within his body as well as his Clutchpurse Rod (ガマグチ系ロッド, Gamaguchi-kei Roddo) that can launch fireballs. At the Gakisuteyama (餓鬼捨て山, lit. "Abandoned Brat Mountain", based on Obasute Station) Dark Station, he kidnaps children with high Imagination in order to make them cry, with their tears lengthening his Kurainer's railway. He does not account for kidnapping Right, alerting the ToQgers to his position. Right, transformed into ToQ 1gou, destroys Bag Shadow with a crying statues variation of the Rainbow Rush before the Shadow Creep enlarges and is destroyed by ToQ-Oh.[41] Voiced by Hisao Egawa (江川 央生, Egawa Hisao).
  • Sabre Shadow (サーベルシャドー, Sāberu Shadō), designated NeHa 818-2 (ネハ818-2), is armed with the Hand Guard Sabre (護拳系サーベル, Goken-kei Sāberu) and the Four-Barreled Magnum (4連系マグナム, Yonren-kei Magunamu) handgun. Having an obsession with dueling and an intolerance for cowards, Sabre Shadow converted the Nozomigahara (希ヶ原, lit. "Wish Fields", modeled after Inzai-Makinohara Station) Station into the Kettougahara (決闘ヶ原, Kettōgahara, lit. "Dueling Fields", based on Sekigahara Station) Dark Station where he makes it law for everyone to duel during a particular time of day. However, Sabre Shadow loses to ToQ 1gou in a duel and enlarges to be destroyed by ToQ-Oh in another duel.[42] Voiced by Tomoyuki Shimura (志村 知幸, Shimura Tomoyuki).
  • Chain Shadow (チェーンシャドー, Chēn Shadō), designated NoHa 1023-3 (ノハ1023-3), is a Shadow Creep who carries with him the Cross Coffin (クロス系棺桶, Kurosu-kei Kan'oke) that he uses to kidnap people and drain their Imagination away with the fear of death. Chain Shadow is sent by Madame Noa to convert the Heiwadani (平和谷, lit. "Peace Valley", modeled after Kazusa-Tsurumai Station) Station into the Shinotani (死の谷, lit. "Death Valley", based on Inotani Station) Dark Station and he captures Kagura while she is left behind by the Ressha. However, Kagura's indomitable spirit keeps her from giving up as she destroys the casket. After being first destroyed by a pliers variation of the Renketsu Bazooka's Rainbow Rush, an enlarged Chain Shadow traps ToQ-Oh in another Cross Coffin until ToQ 1gou uses the Red Ressha to break out, with the Shadow Creep finished off with the Fumikiriken Ressha Slash.[43] Voiced by Junpei Morita (森田 順平, Morita Junpei).
  • Stove Shadow (ストーブシャドー, Sutōbu Shadō), designated GuHa 3102-4 (グハ3102-4), is a Shadow Creep armed with Coal Gravel (石炭系ツブテ, Sekitan-kei Tsubute) that he blasts from his stomach to cause chaos through pain. Miss Glitta sends Stove Shadow out to secretly help General Schwartz by calling out the ToQgers, having him operate out of Itaigawa (痛い川, lit. "It Hurts River", based on Itoigawa Station) Dark Station to inflict pain and steal Imagination. His childish ways get in the way of his plan coming to fruition, but is given an advantage because Tokatti loses his Rainbow Pass, forcing ToQ 2gou and ToQ 3gou to be late for battles. He is eventually destroyed by the Rainbow Rush's rubber band variation, and enlarges to face ToQ-Oh, assisted by two Kurainer Robos. They gain the upperhand against ToQ-Oh until the ToQgers use the Shield Ressha to protect the Ressha and themselves from Stove Shadow's attacks.[44] Voiced by Kōichi Sakaguchi (坂口 候一, Sakaguchi Kōichi).

After Right is unintentionally separated from the others, he learns how the hunger is causing problems, and after apologizing to a group of campers about eating their last food, cooks fish, luring Baketsu Shadow to his location. Baketsu Shadow's own gluttony is his downfall at the hands of the ToQgers, who end up destroying him with a fish variation of the Rainbow Rush. After enlarging, he is ultimately defeated by ToQ-Oh CarCarrier's CarCarrier Dash, returning the Dark Station to its original state as the Ōmori (大盛, lit. At the Mukiryokuzaka (無気力坂, lit. "Unmotivatable Slope", based on Kusaka Station) Dark Station, he makes everyone lose their motivation. Having come up with a way to fight Hanko Shadow, ToQ 4gou and 5gou confront the monster once more, and by having ToQ 5gou imagine herself as a solid and impenetrable rock, ToQ 4gou uses the Tunnel Axe to transform her into a huge kendama in order to attack the Shadow Creep while keeping a distance. The plan works, and after deceiving Hanko Shadow by briefly exchanging their Ressha, the two manage to destroy Hanko Shadow's Stamp Gloves and return all of his victims to normal, including the other ToQgers who join the battle and together, they defeat him with the Renketsu Bazooka. For this purpose, Bakudan Shadow uses his destruction to enter the Ressha as smoke, manifesting a smaller form while producing a Clone Mini Bomb (分身系ミニ爆弾, Bunshin-kei Mini Bakudan) to damage the Ressha's control panel and then another that he places on Tokatti to make the ToQgers play a game. They must catch him and press the button on his head to save Tokatti, all while the Ressha accelerates towards an oil refinery. Eventually, when catching Bakudan Shadow throughout the Ressha proves too difficult, Hikari uses the Blue Ressha to trick the Shadow Creep into letting his guard down, making him believe Tokatti freed himself. After being thrown out of the Ressha while detonating, Bakudan Shadow enlarges before being destroyed by the Ressha and Diesel Ressha.[47] Voiced by Atsushi Imaruoka (伊丸岡 篤, Imaruoka Atsushi).

Once the women fall for his trap, Marionette Shadow has the men break their hearts to gain the heartbroken women's darkness. Though Mio gets caught in his trap through Tōru Chiba, he does not realize she is a ToQger and she destroys him with the other ToQgers' help. Not ready to give up, as he has promised a young boy that he will help him restore his Imagination, Tokatti trains and in his next fight, manages to add onto his title, saving him from death, and together they destroy Type Shadow. When Type Shadow enlarges, the ToQgers use Diesel-Oh to bring the ToQ Ressha back by typing another title on Type Shadow before they destroy him.[49] Voiced by Yasunori Matsumoto (松本 保典, Matsumoto Yasunori).

"In Front of Dream Star Amusement Park") Station into the Yaminokage (闇の影, lit. "Dark Shadow"; based on Mikage Station) Dark Station. He does this to Tokatti, Mio, Hikari, and Kagura, as well as the children of the town, leaving Right the only one left with any power to face him. He also possesses a powerful heat beam to attack with. After Right manages to restore everyone's memories, they use all the Ressha to form Cho-ToQ-Oh to finally destroy Lamp Shadow.[50] Voiced by Junichi Suwabe (諏訪部 順一, Suwabe Jun'ichi).

Mio faces off against Loupe Shadow and soon remembers an event from her childhood, where their teacher burned a piece of black paper with a magnifying glass, and discovers that this is Loupe Shadow's plan, and he soon begins to burn parts of the city. Luckily, Right has found the fire extinguishing Fire Ressha, and with its power they save the area and defeat Loupe Shadow with Diesel-Oh Fire.[51] Voiced by Kōji Tobe (戸部 公爾, Tobe Kōji).

Hikari leads the group in defeating Sōjiki Shadow, while Right discovers the Police Ressha amongst the things stolen, leading to Sōjiki Shadow's defeat at the hands of ToQ-Oh Police.[52] Voiced by Wataru Takagi (高木 渉, Takagi Wataru).
  • Hammer Shadow (ハンマーシャドー, Hanmā Shadō), designated GuHa 1021-15 (グハ1021-15), is a Shadow Creep armed with the Pulverizing Big Hammer (粉砕系ビッグハンマー, Funsai-kei Biggu Hanmā) with pure destructive power and the Fantasy Mini Hammer (夢幻系ミニハンマー, Mugen-kei Mini Hanmā) which gives him a form of Imagination. "Nightmare Hill"; based on Asahigaoka Station) Dark Station by manifesting the heart's desire of his victims, then destroying the manifestation to destroy his victims' happiness. When the ToQgers battle him, Mio's recently revealed extreme lack of Imagination prevents her from battling him with her own Shingō Hammer, as well as inadvertently creating Mikey, an Imagination-empowered toy from Mio's childhood that has come back as a human sized creature. When Mikey later saves Mio from what would be a finishing blow from Hammer Shadow, his own demise restores her faith in her own Imagination, leading to Hammer Shadow's near-defeat. He is rescued by General Schwartz, who intends to use Hammer Shadow's abilities in another plot to destroy the ToQgers. In Schwartz's plot, Hammer Shadow is forced to create an illusionary dreamworld inside of Schwartz's Kurliner, where a group of children kidnapped by the Shadow Line are treated to a paradise before being escorted to Hammer Shadow, where he then destroys their heart's desires, thereby allowing Schwartz to harvest the resulting darkness. Right, Mio, and Hikari are inadvertantly trapped by the illusion, while Kagura and Tokatti are free, helping a girl named Aoi, who has lost her Imagination, to save her little brother Kakeru. Kagura manages to free the other ToQgers from the illusion and together they free the children from General Schwartz and destroy Hammer Shadow. Strange Headache) Dark Station. He has a possessive personality. The Headache Rings he creates causes unbearable headaches to the person who wears it whenever his/her name is heard, and can only be removed by Ring Shadow himself. Zaramu, who has once again been pulled into the ToQgers' fight, falls victim to this, and was freed from its effects after accepting the human name Akira Nijino from the ToQgers. After the now 6 member ToQger team defeats him in his human size, Ring Shadow grows into a giant where his diamond-hard defenses are too much for ToQ-Oh to handle. Glitta sends him under Schwartz's suggestion to trap the ToQgers and put them out of commission. However, both Akira and Tokatti are not trapped within the Ressha when a Kurainer Robo uses the Drill Ressha to bury the Ressha, allowing Akira to use his retrofitted Build Ressha to free the Ressha and ultimately destroy Fence Shadow after he enlarges.[55]
