:Hey there! I just saw this. I will post at WP:COIN to draw in some people to comment. I don't see a problem, as long as you follow WP:COI, which states (in a nutshell) "Do not edit Wikipedia to promote your own interests, or those of other individuals or of organizations, including employers. Do not write about these things unless you are certain that a neutral editor would agree that your edits improve Wikipedia." So if you're uncertain about anything, you can always draft it and put it on the talk page. Best. Biosthmors (talk) 20:35, 29 March 2013 (UTC) |

Is the advertisement warning still applicable? I tried to remove biased language throughout (not that recently). Can this warning be reassessed and removed if appropriate? If it is not appropriate, I will edit more. Drdemartino (talk) 18:40, 27 August 2014 (UTC) |

Beach picture
Is the picture of a beach really relevant to this article?
Alumna Fontaine
The official Miss California website lists Ms. Fontaine's (in the article's list of notable alumni) as having the first name "Jacquelynne", not "Jacquelyn". Anyone have an authoritative answer? I'm rather tempted to trust the Miss California page. Joshua McGee (talk) 03:49, 17 October 2008 (UTC)
The Scandanavian Festival has been hosted at Cal Lutheran for many years. It would be nice to mention this in the article. I'm sure there are news links. (ChocoCereal (talk) 05:39, 29 October 2008 (UTC))
Lots of Disclosure
I started editing this article when I was doing research about CLU to decide whether to pursue a job with them. Well, I was just hired. I am now CLU's Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. Editing Wikipedia is my current *darling* as an authentic, pedagogically sound, and exciting edtech class component. In order to advocate and train instructors at the university, I need to practice my own editing skills. My goal is to update this article and submit it for peer review. The reason I'm choosing this article is a) I'm learning about the university a ton anyway, and now have access to books about the university from their library (not definitely an objective source, but possibly better than the CLU websites) and b) I want to pilot test the Wikipedia assignment in a class I'll be teaching on PR this summer. I want the students to edit a Wikipedia article (possibly the PR one), and engage them in talking about the ethics of PR professionals editing Wikipedia pages--past scandals; arguments for conscientious, objective, and accurate edits by professionals; current websites violating community standards by selling edits... I thought showing them my own objective edits compared to the old article would be an effective demonstration/discussion entry point.
Why the spiel? I wanted to be totally up front about what I was doing, and why. I appreciate and will consider any feedback, advice, arguments for or against what I'm doing...I'm new to the community, and really want to do right by it.
Thanks! Drdemartino (talk) 04:14, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

Multiple issues warning
