Things you can do

Kirkus Reviews

Kirkus Reviews covered at least volumes 1, 2, and 5 ([https://www.kirkusreviews.com/search/?q=jacqueline+west&t=all Search Results: "jacqueline west"]). Its first review was unusually negative, close to "no redeeming value". The second found some of those redeeming value in a generally negative review. The final was positive--exceptionally so, in context of the first two and the fact that series generally go downhill in the views of critics.

The first review alone identifies an illustrator, Poly Bernatene (not mentioned anywhere in ISFDB). The final one nods to illustrations, "The illustrations solidify mood and heighten tension."
