I enjoy reading this page from time to time. Being an Air Traffic Controller, I noticed you do not have the scheduled flight of UPS to Rockford, Ill om a B757 listed. It should be included. I am not Wikipedia savvy or I would add it. Thanks

when was Cleveland hopkins airport annexed by the city of cleveland?

Search of 'CLE' automatically redirects to 'Continuing Legal Education.' CLE-CDG not happening?

I've been hearing some stuff lately that Continental Airlines have stopped plans on initiating the CLE-CDG route for next May. Can someone confirm that? Spongefan 20:50, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New services

We cannot state that the new services will be operated by ExpressJet Airlines, because we do not have confirmation of that from either the airline or any official timetable. I have checked OAG timetables, and the new flights are not yet loaded. Therefore, we must list them separately in text, until we have sources which indicate the operating carriers into each city. Shanghai

I don't know if it's right to have the CO Shanghai via Newark flight; it's a 1-stop through flight. Newsworthiness aside, I believe Wikipedia's rules are you don't list a city as a destination unless someone flies there nonstop. crescent22 21:27, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, except it is likely Cleveland-Newark-Shanghai will require a plane switch. Observe the example below of Continental's current Beijing service, with Houston service as a through flight. It requires a plane change and is nothing more than the typical "direct" service. The WP:AIRPORTS section is confusing and seems meant to address situations where a carrier is stopping in a foreign country on the way to another destination in that foreign country or a third one. The rule seems to say include direct flights only if you don't have to change planes at the intermediate stop. That will not be the case here, and it does not make sense to include Shanghai but without the "via" since it gives the impression there will be a non-stop flight from Cleveland to Shanghai. crescent22 13:38, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well if that's the case, then under WP:AIRPORTS guidelines it shouldn't be listed as a destination. Beijing is not listed on IAH's page. Was the IAH service promoted the same way the CLE service is? I guess if it was direct then they would have said so instead of this "through" BS. If there's a change of planes, it should not be listed as a destination. I am sure whether the Cleveland-Newark-Shanghai flight will require a plane change but you can removed it from the reapective pages. First Municipal Airport?

Tucson had a Municipal Airport in 1919 even though it isn't the current Tucson International... it moved in 1927. See [2] [3] This would make Hopkins the oldest continually owned municipal airport, but not the first municipal airport? SportingFlyer (talk) 20:40, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV Dispute: Relationship with CO/UA

The relationship with CO section of the article is not written from a neutral point of view, but rather is overly pessimistic about Continental's intentions, and engages in pure speculation about how Continental's entry into Star Alliance will affect their operations at CLE. UA's hub status in CLE is a major issue relevant to the overall health and viability of the airport and thus merits its own discussion. The level of detail is appropriate given the nuances of the situation and the lack of a comprehensive overview elsewhere. Can there still be a NPOV debate about this part of the Cleveland Hopkins page, now that everything that was deemed overly pessimistic has, in fact, come to fruition? At this point I'd say the comments about excessive detail (almost all of which is footnoted) are also a bit off the mark given that there may now be even greater historical interest in what happened to the United/Continental hub and the extent to which it reflects Cleveland's ongoing troubles. Cleveland Hopkins Airport

Bold text As a former resident of Greater Cleveland (more specifically Berea) and a commericial aviation enthusiast, I found this to be a most interesting article.

However, under "Former Widebody Service" I found 2 errors:

In the early & mid 1970s, United also operated the 747. In the 1970s as well in 1987, American also operated the DC-10.
